IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The plans below show a public park when it first opened in 1920 and the same park today.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The plans show how the grange Park first looked like when it was inagurated in 1920 and how it looks like today.

Overall the biggest difference is that a modren approach has been taken to redesign the park. The musicians stage and the foutain have been converted into a concert and a rose garden.

Previously there was a pond for water plants and a rose garden right beside it, now they have been changed into a children's paly area with a cafe to the left of it.

Additionaly more spacious approach has been tanken with introduction of an underground entrence and the removal of all the seats from the sides and placeing them in the center.

Futhermore if we look at the bottom right in the old plan there was a glasshouse this has now become a water feature area.

Finally the features that have remain the same are the two main enterences.
