IELTS Writing Task 1 question
The plans below show a public park when it first opened in 1920 and the same park today.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
The diagram illustrates the underwent development of public park since 1920 untill now.
Overall, numerous structural design as been constrcted as well as replaced the grange park. Specifically the stage for musicians has been modified into large theatre, relocating rose garden and seats towards middle of the park. Additionally, cafe and children play area has newly constructed.
During 1920, in the middle of park there use to be fountain but now it has been replaced with larger rose garden along with seats in the four side. While the fountain has been relocated and upgraded to water feature replacing glasshouse, below the big children park area where this use to be pond for water plants in 1920. This feature has also entrance for underground car park which was not constructed later in 1920.
One of the rose garden is replaced with cafe now which is located near entrance of the park through arnould avenue, and the large amphitheatre for concerts has newly constructed in the place where stage for musicians use to be earlier. And on the top near corner of the park one rose garden remaind unchanged.
