The plans below show a public park when it first opened in 1920 and the same park today.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 6.0)
The maps illustrate the Grange Park when it first started in 1920 and the same park present day.
Overall, two enterances and the north side of the rose garden remain the same in the park. Whereas, new things such as amphitheatre, cafe , children's play area, water feature and underground cark park have been added in the Grange Park.
In 1920, there was a fountain at the center of the park which totally has been replaced by rose garden along with proper seating arrangements. At the side of East-West a water feature has been introduced in place of glasshouse and seats. Moreover, a newly cafe has been opned at the North side of the park. beside the cafe, Children's play area has been replaced pond for water plants. A huge amphitheatre has been placed for concerts, which removed stage for musicians along with some seating areas too.
Today's park has a new facility for underground car park which was missing in 1920.
