IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The plans below show a public park when it first opened in 1920 and the same park today.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 6.0)

The provided maps iluuatrates the information regarding the redevolpment of the grange park from 1920 to the present time

Overall, there were plethora of facilities introduced such as , the children s play area and a cafe also the water water feature. Whereas , other areas were cleard for example the fountain and the glasshouse and also the pond for water plant .

Looking at the centre of the map , the fountain was reolaced by a rose garden where there are seats around it from all sides. At the south and north of the centre the two entrance of the garden remained the same as back in 1920. At the west stage for musicians has been reinstructured as the amphitheatre for concerts . Moreover , all seats and the rose garden at south were removed .

Regarding the east of the park the pond for water plants and the rose garden were replaced by a children s play area and a cafe . Also the glasshouse was also removed to made way for the new water future .
