The plans below show a public park when it first opened in 1920 and the same park today.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 6.0)
The given pictures compare a previous outline of a public park that first opened in 1920 and its present design.
Overall, the infrastructure of the Grange park today is very well developed and beautifully designed with a centered seated rose garden, amphitheatre for concerts and play area for children. Whereas, previously designed park is comprised of only fewer things such as center built fountain, several rose garden and a glasshouse.
In 1920, the park had a simple infrastructure which comprised of center fountain, three rose gardens and a pond for water plants. Furthermore, it had two entrance gate one at the Arnold avenue and the other at Eldon street. There were several seats around the musician stage and a glass house beside the entrance gate for the plants.
The park today has quite new features and is beautifully constructed. A centre fountain is replaced by a rose garden with seating area all around it. Moreover, there is a water feature instead of glass house and a children play area and cafe is contructed over rose garden and pond area. It also introduced a underground car parking area and a bi amphitheatre for concerts
