IELTS Writing Task 1 question
The plans below show a public park when it first opened in 1920 and the same park today.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.5)
The plans of public park compares between the started date in 1920 and the present condition of the park. The park has fully developed into quite different places with changes like entrance, fountain, stage for musicians etc.
Firstly, the new entrance has been built on eastern side of the park for the underground car park. Additionally, the fountain have been demolished and rose garden with seats on the boundary has been construsted. Children's play area has been introduced on the place of pond for water plants. Similary, Cafe has been constructed inexchange of rose garden.
Moreover, stage for musicians has been developed to amphitheatre for concerts in nearby place. The rose garden on the western side is at the same place, while new rose garden at the southern west has been introduced. The glasshouse have been demolished and water feature has been constructed. The seat near the southern gate have been removed in the present layout of Grange park.
