IELTS Writing Task 1 question

The plans below show a public park when it first opened in 1920 and the same park today.

Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.

Student answer (Band 5.0)

The plan illustrates the structure of a park when it was first enagorated in 1920, and how it is looking now a days

The old blueprint shows that there are significant changes in todays structure of park but many things remain the same and only there location is changed.

Like when for the first time the park opened there were three rose gardens, a fountain at centre, a small stage for music and a glass house.

But todays park comprises a cafe, a rose garden at one corner and one at the centre with sitting areas around it. An Amphitheater for concerts, a childs play area and a water feature.Also there is a u derground enterence .

In conclusion, the present park provides much more facilities and its structure is well aranged for different activities. The old park was a bit old fashioned which is not suitable for todays era.
