The plans below show a public park when it first opened in 1920 and the same park today.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.5)
The given image gives information about first public park opened at Arnold avenue in 1920 and there is another picture shows how same park has changed today.
Overall, the park has been modernised significantly. Several places in park has been transformed into new places such as stage for musicians is turned into Amphitheatre for concerts. However, some rose garden seats are remained same.
In 1920, there were two entrance for grange park one on the Arnold avenue and other on Eldon street. Grange park has three rose gardens two on first entrance and one on other entrance. Top right corner has a pond for water plant and botton has a glasshouse. Center of park has beautiful fountain along with stage for musicians and there were seats available all around the park.
Whereas, today fountain has replaced with rose garden and seats. Glasshouse is transformed into water feature. Cafe and children play area is built where were rose garden and pond for water plants. In addition, a underground car park is build for vehicle parking.
