The plans below show a public park when it first opened in 1920 and the same park today.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.5)
The map plan shows how Grange park changed between 1920 and 2026.
Overall, the park undergone significant redevelopment with many original features being removed or replaced. Recreational and commercial facilities have been added including cafe, amphiteatre water feature and under ground car park.
In the west side of the park there is rose garden in 1920 that were still there in 2026, as compared to the stage of musicians in 1920 were replaced by big amphitheatre for concerts. In the west side of the park there is pond for water plants in 1920 which were also replaced by childrens play area in 2026.
In the ceter of the park there is a fountain in 1920 which were also replaced by rose garden in 2026 and also seats were added around the garden as compared to the entrance which were same both in 1920 and 2026. Glass house is removed and a new water feature were added in 2026. And also seats were removed in 2026 and a unique entrance for underground car parking were introduced in 2026.
