The plans below show a public park when it first opened in 1920 and the same park today.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
These pictures describe about the map of a public park known as Grange Park. The first map of the park illustrates its structure in 1920 and the second map shows the current structure of the park.
The entrance of the park in 1920 headed from Arnold Avenue and Eldon street. After entering from Eldon street, there was a big fountain in the middle of the park. Heading right, there was a huge glasshouse and there were seats and rose garden on the left side. There was a stage for musicians at the left side of the park which was specially designed for musicians. At the right corner of the park there was a pond for water plants.
Currently, the whole structure of the park has been changed. Heading from Eldon street, there is a massive water feature on the right side and there is an enormous theatre for concerts where musicians from different parts of the world come to play songs and music. In the middle of the park, there is a rose garden which is surrounded by seats from the four sides. There is a children park and a cafeteria besides it.
