Introduction

The maps illustrate the changes that took place in a public park, known as Grange Park, between 1920 and the present day.

Body 1

In 1920, the park contained several facilities for entertainment and relaxation. There was a fountain in the centre of the park, while a stage for musicians was located on the left-hand side. A rose garden was situated in the opposite area. The park also provided open spaces where visitors could spend their free time.

Body 2

Today, the park has been considerably redeveloped, and several original features have been removed or replaced. The fountain and the musicians' stage have disappeared. A children's play area and a café have been added, while an amphitheatre has been constructed for concerts. In addition, a water feature has been introduced in the northern and eastern parts of the park. The rose garden has also been relocated or modified as part of the redevelopment.

Overview

Overall, Grange Park has undergone significant changes since 1920. Several of the original facilities have been removed, while new recreational and entertainment facilities have been added to make better use of the park.
