IELTS Writing Task 1 question
The plans below show a public park when it first opened in 1920 and the same park today.
Summarise the information by selecting and reporting the main features, and make comparisons where relevant.
Student answer (Band 5.0)
The given map displays the change of the public park in 1920 in grange park which is also known as the arnold avenue.
By comparing it when it first opened in 1920 and today the park is same. It can be observed that a lot of peoples visits today and recognize the changes as the infrastructure and other facilities. In general, the overall structure of the grange park will remain the same with few alternations.
According to the first map, the seats are in the upper left corner and the rose garden will be built in its place. The pond for water plants will be converted into childrens play area. The green house will be removed and the water feature will be made near the entrance of underground car park. The fountain is shifted into rose garden which is covered by seats. The stage for musicians will be converted into amphitheatre for concerts. According to the first map, the entrance is also same as in the second map.
