Overall, there are some crucial development seems to be happened in this period. such as, fountain, stage for musicians removed. there is a complete new construction of undergroung car park. Meanwhile, some water bodies like pond for waterplants removed.

Firstly, In 1920, the arnold avenue consists of 3 gardens named rose. whereas only 2 are remained now. In the middle of the garden there was a fountain which is now removed and a new rose garden constructed on the same place. Similarly, stage for musicians undergo changes and now transformed into a amphitheatre for conserts.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You identify several important changes, including the replacement of the central fountain with a rose garden, the conversion of the musicians’ stage into an amphitheatre, and the changes in the north-east and south-east corners. However, the overview is unclear and does not summarise the park’s overall pattern of change. Some details are inaccurate: the seats were not simply on all four sides in 1920; they were in several specific locations, and today they surround the central rose garden. The statement that an underground car park was newly constructed is not supported by the plan, which shows an entrance to one. You also omit the café’s location and the north-west rose garden’s unchanged position. A more precise overview and fuller, accurate comparisons would strengthen the response.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The response has a basic structure, with an overview followed by paragraphs beginning “Firstly” and “Secondly,” and it groups some changes by location. However, progression is not consistently clear: the overview lists individual removals rather than presenting the main changes as a connected summary, and “Consequently” does not clearly show a cause-and-effect relationship between the stage changes and the seating. Some linking is mechanical, while the final paragraph introduces several locations without fully developing their relationships. Improve cohesion by organising the details into clear groups—for example, central and western changes, then northern and southern changes—and use references such as “the former pond” to make comparisons easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 6.0

You use a reasonable range of map-related vocabulary, including “fountain,” “rose garden,” “amphitheatre,” “reconstructed,” and “water feature,” which helps communicate the main changes. There are also attempts at more formal phrasing, such as “development activities.” However, several choices are inaccurate or unnatural: “Arnold Avenue consists of 3 gardens named rose” confuses the road with the park features, and “undergo changes” is not the natural collocation here. Spelling errors such as “undergroung,” “waterplants,” and “conserts” also reduce accuracy. Choose precise verbs such as “was replaced by” or “was converted into,” and check spelling and collocations when editing.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including comparisons with “whereas” and clauses introduced by “where.” However, errors in verb forms, agreement, articles, and sentence boundaries are frequent enough to make some sentences difficult to process. For example, “the park undergo since 1920” needs a suitable tense, while “there are some crucial development seems to be happened” combines incompatible structures. “A amphitheatre” also has an article error, and the capitalisation after full stops is inconsistent. Practise forming clear past-to-present comparisons, such as “The pond was replaced by a play area,” and check that each sentence has a complete, grammatically consistent main clause.
