Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5

You identify the main transformation clearly: the park has been modernised, the central fountain has been replaced by a seated rose garden, and the western stage area has become an amphitheatre. You also compare several locations across the two plans, including the north-east pond/play area and the southern glasshouse/water feature. This covers the task well, although some details are inaccurate or unclear: the glasshouse was on the south-east edge, but the water feature now occupies that site; the underground car-park entrance is an additional feature, not what replaced the glasshouse. The café and children’s play area are also described as if both replaced the former north-east rose garden, whereas they occupy distinct areas. A more precise overview and clearer location comparisons would strengthen the response.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an overview followed by paragraphs describing changes in different parts of the park. Phrases such as “To begin with” and “Furthermore” help signal progression, and the reader can generally follow the comparison from the western and central areas to the east. However, some links between ideas are unclear, particularly in the final paragraph: “The glasshouse… has been demolished. Make way for…” is not a complete, well-connected sentence, and “More the area previously…” makes the sequence difficult to interpret. The overview also repeats the idea of change without previewing the main north-eastern and southern developments. Use clearer sentence boundaries and organise each paragraph around accurately identified locations.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You attempt a useful range of map vocabulary, including “replacement,” “transformed,” “enclosed,” “demolished,” and “underground car park.” These choices show some awareness of the language needed to describe changes. However, several word-choice, collocation, and spelling problems make parts of the account difficult to understand: “Granage” is an inaccurate name, “stage of musician” is not a natural phrase, and “completely levo” appears to obscure the intended meaning. “Commercialization” is also not well supported by the changes described, while “modern water feature” adds an unsupported judgement. Aim for precise, conventional terms such as “musicians’ stage,” “converted into,” and “located in the north-east corner,” and proofread spelling carefully.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentence forms, including an overview sentence and clauses beginning “looking at” and “moving to.” However, grammatical control is inconsistent, and errors sometimes make relationships between features hard to follow. Examples include “The given diagram illustrate,” where subject–verb agreement is incorrect, and “has been remove entirely and replace,” where the participle forms are missing. The sentence beginning “The glasshouse… has been demolished” is followed by the fragment “Make way for…,” and “the two men entrance… remain” has problems with number and agreement. Practise accurate passive constructions for map changes (“was replaced by,” “has been converted into”) and check verb forms, articles, and sentence completeness.
