Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You identify several major changes accurately, including the central fountain becoming a rose garden, the western stage area becoming an amphitheatre, and the pond being replaced by a children’s play area. You also mention the café and underground car-park entrance, so the response covers much of the plan. The comparison of the south-east features is reversed, however: the glasshouse was replaced by a water feature, not the other way around. The opening does not give a clear, separate overview of the park’s overall transformation, and some details are unclear or unsupported, such as saying seats moved to the centre; they now surround the central garden. A concise overview and more precise comparisons would make the coverage more complete and developed.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response follows a broadly understandable sequence, moving from the central area to the west, north-east, north and south-east, and it uses time markers such as “Initially” and “later.” However, it is presented as one long paragraph, with no clear separation between an overview and supporting details. The opening phrase “we will analyze and discuss then as we move forward” is unnecessary and does not help the reader follow the map comparison. Several ideas run together, particularly around the central seating and the café, while repeated claims that features “play” an important role add little progression. Organise the response into a brief overview followed by grouped comparisons, and use clear links between locations and changes.
Lexical Resource: Band 6.0
You use a reasonable range of topic vocabulary, including “amphitheatre,” “pond for water plants,” “rose garden,” and “underground car park,” which helps identify the features. There are also attempts at more formal wording, such as “significant” and “upgradation,” but some choices are inaccurate or unnatural. “Upgradation” is not the usual term here; “redevelopment” or “transformation” would be more idiomatic. “Demolised” is misspelled, and “flowing water feature was replaced a glass house” uses the wrong relationship and an unclear phrase. Prefer precise, neutral map language such as “was replaced by” and “was converted into.” These issues do not prevent the main meaning from being understood.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt longer sentences and use past-time comparisons, but grammatical control is uneven. The opening, “Garange park undergo a significant upgradation,” has an incorrect verb form and tense; the plans require a past-to-present comparison, so use forms such as “underwent” and “has undergone.” Agreement and plural forms also need attention in “a play area for childrens were constructed.” Several sentences lack clear punctuation or contain incomplete grammatical links, for example “a flowing water feature was replaced a glass house.” Capitalisation and spacing are inconsistent, and the response relies heavily on long, joined sentences. Use shorter, complete sentences and check tense, subject–verb agreement, articles, and the “replaced by” construction.
