Student answer (Band 6.5)
Some university students want to learn more subjects with their main subjects and other believe that to give as much time and attention to study for a qualification. I am in favor of a former view and both views will be justified in further paragraphs.
Nowadays, their are many much amount of opportunities for students in various field like social media, IT sector, healthcare field. So i am in favor of student have opportunities to learn different subject other than their main subjects. Because, if the student learn the subject which they wanted or loved to be learn so that they can do better in their future and in their career so that it will be also beneficial for the country to have some of the great ability and great mind student in their countries so that new innovations are gather from the new youth of the country.
On the flip side, people are just wanted to have focus of students in old and outdated courses in the university's and give their whole time and attention to studying for a qualification which is so wrong it is something like to taking up the freedom from student. if we do not give the permission the youth skip the interest in the main subjects and worthless youth produce which is not good for the country and it is not good for students future and future carrier also. However, in my opinion their are some specific hours in a week for students for their passion in subjects they love so that they can achieve a good amount of experience and knowledge in loved subjects.
In conclusion, i am in favor of the student interest so that it can be beneficial for the future of both students and the country by producing a knowledgeable workforce.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.5
The response addresses both views and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. While you mention the benefits of learning additional subjects, such as innovation and career prospects, the arguments lack specific examples or deeper analysis. The opposing view is addressed, but the reasoning is slightly underdeveloped and relies on generalizations. To improve, ensure that each paragraph provides a distinct, well-supported argument rather than repeating the same points about 'benefits to the country' or 'student interest'. The position is consistent, but the depth of discussion needs to be increased to reach a higher band.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, which helps the reader follow your argument. However, the use of cohesive devices is often mechanical or inaccurate. For example, the transition 'On the flip side' is used, but the connection between sentences within paragraphs is sometimes weak, leading to a disjointed flow. There are also issues with referencing; for instance, 'the former view' is mentioned in the introduction, but the subsequent paragraphs do not clearly link back to this structure. Improving the variety and precision of linking words (e.g., 'furthermore', 'consequently', 'in contrast') would significantly enhance the logical progression of your ideas.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and range required for higher bands. You rely on basic phrasing, such as 'good amount of experience' and 'not good for the country'. There are also several word-choice errors, such as 'worthless youth produce' and 'future carrier' (instead of 'career'). While the meaning is generally clear, the lack of sophisticated vocabulary and the presence of collocation errors limit the score. To improve, focus on learning topic-specific collocations related to education and professional development, and try to avoid repetitive, simple adjectives.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 6.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'their are many much amount'), incorrect verb forms (e.g., 'if the student learn'), and punctuation errors, particularly with apostrophes (e.g., 'university's'). Additionally, sentence construction is sometimes awkward, such as in the phrase 'people are just wanted to have focus of students'. While the meaning is usually understandable, the high frequency of errors in basic grammar prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. Focus on proofreading for basic tense and agreement errors.
