Student answer (Band 6.0)
I agress with the statement that some student want to student other subject than the main subject in university. if i give you an example, i study Computer science. but i add additonal subject like graphics and video editing. these are not require for degree but i study it for extra knowlegde.
and it help me in my feild. sometime i need to design log, icon for website. So i can design or redesign by myself. On the other hand most of the student took subject just because its easy and its help him to complete their courses. and some student pick these sunject because they are creative and want to study these field.
if i talk about the student who just want to qualified. they didnot focus on the road map of the courses. they just follow queue that is made. Some public university uses old road map from years. if the students would not focus on what subject you have to pick for your degree OR what is compulosy for your degree. like if you study CS you have to pick core subject of the field. So these student are not wise enough to pick their subject.
In my perspective, you have to study wisly. because in CS field if you are not intrested in your core subject you can move on to the subject like graphic designing , video editing. because some of the student like these subject cause its easy and persue their field in it.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both sides of the argument, but the development is limited. While you provide a personal example regarding Computer Science, the discussion of the opposing view—that students should focus solely on their main qualification—is underdeveloped and lacks depth. The argument remains somewhat superficial, and the connection between the two perspectives could be more clearly articulated. To improve, ensure that each viewpoint is supported by more robust reasoning or broader examples beyond personal experience. The position is clear, but the overall response lacks the academic rigor required for a higher band score.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into paragraphs, but the logical progression is frequently interrupted by awkward phrasing and a lack of effective cohesive devices. Transitions between ideas are often missing or mechanical (e.g., 'if i talk about', 'in my perspective'). The referencing is sometimes unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the flow of the argument. To improve, use a wider variety of linking words such as 'furthermore', 'consequently', or 'in contrast' to connect sentences and paragraphs more fluidly. The current structure is functional but lacks the sophistication needed for a higher score.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is limited and repetitive, often relying on basic terms. There are frequent errors in word choice and spelling, such as 'agress' instead of 'agree', 'sunject' instead of 'subject', and 'wisly' instead of 'wisely'. These errors occasionally impede the reader's understanding. While you attempt to use topic-specific vocabulary related to university studies, the range is not sufficient to demonstrate flexibility or precision. To improve, focus on learning collocations and academic synonyms for common words, and pay closer attention to spelling and word forms.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a high frequency of grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement issues ('some student want'), incorrect verb tenses, and missing articles. Sentence structures are predominantly simple, and attempts at complex sentences are often flawed or punctuated incorrectly. For example, the sentence 'if the students would not focus on what subject you have to pick for your degree OR what is compulosy for your degree' is fragmented and grammatically incorrect. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, subject-verb agreement, and consistent verb tense usage before attempting more complex structures.
