Student answer (Band 5.0)
Learning has been regarded as the basic driving force in the modren society to cope with the challanges in future. With the considerable urbanization, technological advancement and artifacial intelligence, some students regarded that wether we should focus only on the curriculum subjects or participates in learning more advanced topics. However, different perspectives exist on this discussion, I firmly believe that a sustainable and balanced approach is the most effective solution to achieve the goals of modern education.
On the one hand, supporters of studying about other subjects in addition to the syllabus subjects argue that these make us ready for the incoming future challanges not only in the respective field but also in every field of life. Furthermore, this increases our perception and makes us more active and understanding academically, emotionally and spirtually. Consequently, the community will grow academically as well as morally.
On the other hand, advocates of focusing on studying only for qualification contend that if we will pay attention to the other activities other than our curriculum , then enough time will not be left for our recommended subjects, as a result we will fail and cannot get degree. Moreover, when we donot have official certificate, we cannot get better jobs opportunities. Therefore, we will be left behind by all the skilled and trained world.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses both viewpoints and provides a clear personal position. However, the essay is incomplete, ending abruptly mid-sentence ('ge'), which significantly impacts the development of the conclusion. Furthermore, the response falls short of the 250-word minimum requirement. While the ideas presented are relevant, they are somewhat underdeveloped due to the lack of specific examples or depth. To improve, ensure you fully develop your arguments with concrete examples and complete your essay within the time limit to ensure a coherent conclusion.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay uses basic cohesive devices such as 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', and 'Furthermore' to organize ideas. Paragraphing is present, which helps the reader follow the structure. However, the abrupt ending disrupts the overall flow and logical progression of the argument. The transition between ideas is sometimes mechanical. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of cohesive devices more naturally and ensure that each paragraph is fully developed and logically concluded.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, though there are several spelling errors, such as 'modren', 'challanges', 'artifacial', and 'spirtually'. The range of vocabulary is somewhat limited and repetitive. While the student attempts to use academic language, the word choice is occasionally imprecise. To improve, focus on accurate spelling and expanding your range of topic-specific vocabulary to express ideas with more precision and sophistication.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors, including subject-verb agreement issues ('some students regarded that wether we should focus') and awkward phrasing ('if we will pay attention to the other activities'). Punctuation is also inconsistent. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to lower the score. Increasing the accuracy of complex structures and proofreading for basic grammatical slips will help improve this score.
