Student answer (Band 5.0)
In my opinion Both of the parties are right according to there stance but both type of learnings are important if i talk about extra curricular learning other than course books that is also very important because that will also them in there future life. They aree university students there next step is practical life so should also be taught other books which can give them knowledge of other aspects how to survive in this society etc. Usually course books re taught in universities no doubt they are very important and students should focus on there main major but it will make them expert in there particular field but in order to survive in todays technological world other knowledge is also very important in order to survive .
For example students studying in business courses should also be taught few courses of la so that they can know how should they abide by laws while doing there businesses which will make them respectful citizen of society.
Other than that students should also be taught first aid courses so that they should have basic knowledge of first aid. On the other hand student should also be taught how to progress in world .
So in conclusion i will only say that both type of learning is important but students should make sure there extra learning is not effecting there major course learning

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, which significantly impacts the development of ideas. While you address both sides of the argument and provide a clear opinion, the ideas are under-developed and repetitive. For instance, the argument about 'surviving in society' is mentioned multiple times without being expanded upon with sufficient depth or specific examples. The examples provided, such as 'first aid' and 'law', are relevant but lack the necessary elaboration to fully support your position. To improve, you must expand your arguments with more detailed explanations and ensure you meet the minimum length requirement to allow for full task development.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay lacks a clear structure. There is no clear introduction or conclusion, and the paragraphing is insufficient, with the entire body of the essay appearing as a single block of text. Cohesive devices are used in a very mechanical and repetitive way, such as the frequent use of 'also' and 'in order to'. The progression of ideas is difficult to follow because the sentences are often run-on or lack logical transitions. To improve, you should use clear paragraph breaks for each main idea and employ a wider variety of linking words to connect your thoughts more naturally.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary is limited and repetitive, which restricts your ability to express complex ideas. You frequently use basic words like 'important', 'learning', and 'things' (implied). There are also several spelling errors, such as 'there' instead of 'their' and 'la' instead of 'law'. The range of vocabulary is not sufficient to demonstrate the flexibility required for higher bands. To improve, focus on learning synonyms for common words and practice using topic-specific vocabulary related to education and professional development, ensuring you check your spelling carefully.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede communication. There are consistent issues with subject-verb agreement, punctuation, and sentence structure. For example, 'Both of the parties are right according to there stance' contains a spelling error and awkward phrasing. Many sentences are run-on, lacking proper punctuation to separate distinct ideas. There is a very limited range of complex structures, and the errors in basic grammar are frequent. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, punctuation, and the correct usage of pronouns like 'their' versus 'there'.
