Some university students want to learn about other subjects in addition to their main subjects. Student answer (Band 5.5)
The two contradictory statement regarding learning main subjects or additional subjects are motioned .that some people in the universities focus on the main subject to get maximum score in their exam. it is oftenly beneficial for the students to remained stick to their relative subject TO get greater knowledge about it.But some brilliant students prefer to learn more subjects besides of the course subjects. They have curiosity of learning more things and use for future ambitions.
so in my opining it almost depend upon the choice of the person whether to study relevant subject or additional subjects. both these statements have their own benefits and consequences. Those people who study different subject are more brilliant and have extraordinary skills and abilities.
people with high cognitive abilities are more focused to learn new thing in their life. Student who learn books other than their course are more aware of the traditions and culture of the other countries.
choosing different subjects make the students more compatible in their environment. i mostly prefer students to study additional subjects to improve their mental abilities as they have plenty of knowledge
. AS my brother is studying medicine in his university but he also takes interest in psychology subject to know more about human nature. he is more efficient in depicting the personality of the human. so it is very important for all the students to study more subjects in addition to their course. If the person only study relevant course to their degree he will not able to understand the complexities that comes in later life.my whole opinion is going toward learning more subjects other the course for Beter outcomes.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both views and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. While you mention that studying additional subjects improves mental abilities and cultural awareness, these points are not fully extended with deep analysis. The example of your brother is relevant but could be better integrated to support the argument more robustly. The essay covers all parts of the prompt, but the arguments remain at a general level, which limits the depth of the response. To improve, focus on providing more detailed explanations of 'why' and 'how' these benefits manifest in a professional or academic context.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organised into paragraphs, but the logical flow is frequently interrupted by awkward phrasing and mechanical transitions. The use of cohesive devices is limited and sometimes repetitive (e.g., 'so in my opining', 'those people who'). Paragraphing is present, but the transition between the introduction, body, and conclusion is abrupt. Referencing is occasionally unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the progression of your argument. To reach a higher band, focus on using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that each paragraph has a clear topic sentence that connects logically to the next.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task but lacks the precision and flexibility required for higher bands. There are several instances of non-standard word choices or collocations, such as 'motioned' instead of 'mentioned', 'remained stick' instead of 'remain focused', and 'depicting the personality' instead of 'understanding human nature'. While the meaning is generally clear, the range of vocabulary is limited, and there is a reliance on basic, repetitive phrasing. To improve, try to incorporate more academic collocations and synonyms to express your ideas with greater sophistication and accuracy.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede readability. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'the two contradictory statement'), incorrect verb forms (e.g., 'he will not able to'), and punctuation errors, such as missing spaces after periods and incorrect capitalisation. The sentence structure is often fragmented or run-on, which affects the overall fluency. To improve, focus on mastering basic sentence construction, ensuring correct verb tenses, and proofreading for punctuation and capitalisation errors, which are currently quite frequent.
