Student answer (Band 4.0)

we all have that mind set that we have to try some new thing so we use to take other subjects more on learning base . but the subject that are main is should be done for the qualification.

like the other addition subject are like gujarti and hindi in india so they are like we are learing in our daily life but the main subject is also important in the life and also in qualification.

However the main subject is hard but we have to study it for the qualification.

we have also see that some student are good in the other subject are having fun to do it more and then in the main subject they are week by this we can say that for the qualification all the subject are important not the main nor the additional subject.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 4.0

The response fails to meet the minimum word count requirement of 250 words, reaching only 141 words. This significantly impacts the development of ideas. While the prompt asks to discuss both views and provide an opinion, the response is underdeveloped and lacks the necessary depth to explore the arguments. The ideas are presented in a fragmented manner, and the position is not clearly articulated or supported with sufficient reasoning or relevant examples. The response is too brief to fully address the task requirements, resulting in a low score for task achievement.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 4.0

The essay lacks a clear structure. There is no introduction or conclusion, and the ideas are presented in a single, disjointed block of text. The use of cohesive devices is very limited and often inaccurate, such as the repetitive use of 'like' and 'but'. The progression of ideas is difficult to follow because the sentences do not flow logically from one to another. Paragraphing is absent, which makes the text difficult to navigate. Overall, the lack of logical organization and effective linking words hinders the clarity of the argument.

Lexical Resource — Band 4.0

The vocabulary is basic and repetitive, which limits the ability to express complex ideas. Phrases like 'have that mind set' and 'having fun to do it' are informal and imprecise. There is a lack of academic vocabulary appropriate for an IELTS Task 2 essay. Spelling errors, such as 'learing' and 'week' (instead of 'weak'), further detract from the quality of the writing. The range of vocabulary is insufficient to convey the intended meaning with precision or variety, keeping the score at a lower band level.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 4.0

The response contains frequent grammatical errors that often impede communication. There are significant issues with subject-verb agreement, such as 'the subject that are main is should be done' and 'some student are good'. Sentence structure is often simplistic or fragmented, and punctuation is inconsistent. The lack of complex sentence structures and the high frequency of errors in basic grammar indicate a limited control over the language. The errors are pervasive and make the text difficult to read, which is characteristic of a lower band score.
