Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion in the introduction and conclusion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat superficial. For instance, the argument regarding the benefits of studying multiple subjects is repetitive, focusing on 'knowledge' and 'career' without providing concrete, specific examples to support these claims. The counter-argument regarding stress is also somewhat underdeveloped, relying on general statements rather than exploring the nuance of academic pressure. To reach a higher band, you should aim to expand your supporting points with more detailed explanations or specific real-world scenarios.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear central topic. There is an attempt to use cohesive devices such as 'While', 'Moreover', 'However', and 'Additionally'. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical or slightly inaccurate, such as the transition 'This is because handling assignment of many subject at the same time create more chaos'. The progression of ideas is generally clear, but the flow between sentences could be improved by using a wider variety of linking words and ensuring that referencing (e.g., 'they', 'this') is always precise.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The vocabulary used is adequate for the task but lacks the precision and variety required for a higher band. There is some repetition of basic terms like 'subject', 'students', and 'knowledge'. Some word choices are slightly unnatural or inaccurate, such as 'execute it on real world' (apply it in the real world) and 'turn into blunder' (become a mistake/burden). To improve, you should focus on using more sophisticated collocations and academic vocabulary, such as 'interdisciplinary studies', 'academic workload', or 'professional versatility', rather than relying on simple, repetitive phrasing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. However, there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the flow of reading. Common issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'handling assignment... create', 'pressurizing students... are'), article usage (e.g., 'in student life'), and pluralization (e.g., 'multiple subject'). While the meaning is generally clear, these persistent errors in basic grammar prevent the essay from reaching a higher band. You should focus on proofreading for subject-verb agreement and ensuring that nouns are correctly pluralized when necessary.
