Give reasons for your answer and include relevant examples from your own knowledge or experience.
Student answer (Band 6.0)
The views of students toward subject choice are always different. Some pupil show interest in various fields apart from their own subject. On the other hand, some wants to focus on a single area.
Both of the views are a matter of discussion. According to me the knowledge of different areas helps to improve the overall behavior. The impending paragraphs comprise the reasons behind my point of view with some relevant examples.
Firstly, students with knowledge of different subjects can teach a large number of juniors. Everyone should have basic understanding of important subjects like mathematics, science, computer and arts. In todays world, it is crucial to know about computer weather you belong to any field of study. If a person highly skilled in mathematics, do not know how to use laptop can not survive in this era of technology. Moreover, each pupil should be aware of common medicines because it is a need of our daily life. For example, an individual with understanding of biology can take better care of their body.
Other than these, many benefits of learning different subjects are there which can be added. Although, proving all time and attention to a single subject make highly skilled in that area but it can separate out us from other fields which are useful for life. For instance, if you are a researcher and do not have knowledge of computer, you can not do better than those who have understanding of technology along with their research subject. In conclusion, we can say that students learning other subjects along with their main subjects can be more productive.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both views and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. While you mention the benefits of learning other subjects, such as computer literacy and basic biology, the arguments are slightly repetitive and lack depth. The discussion regarding the opposing view—that focusing on one subject leads to higher skill levels—is mentioned but not fully explored or contrasted effectively. To reach a higher band, ensure that each body paragraph provides a more detailed explanation and a more sophisticated example to support your claims, rather than listing general benefits.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear introduction and conclusion. You use some cohesive devices like 'Firstly', 'Moreover', and 'In conclusion' to link ideas. However, the flow between sentences is sometimes mechanical, and the transition between the two viewpoints could be smoother. Some referencing is slightly unclear, such as 'Other than these, many benefits... are there which can be added', which feels disconnected from the previous paragraph. Improving the variety of linking words and ensuring that each sentence logically follows the previous one will help improve the overall coherence.
Lexical Resource — Band 6.0
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, allowing you to convey your meaning clearly. You use some topic-specific terms like 'qualification', 'researcher', and 'technology'. However, there are instances of imprecise word choice and minor errors, such as 'impending paragraphs' (which should be 'following' or 'subsequent') and 'proving all time' (which should be 'devoting'). The range of vocabulary is somewhat limited, and you rely on basic phrasing. To improve, try to incorporate more precise academic collocations and avoid repetitive structures.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
You demonstrate a mix of simple and complex sentence structures. While the meaning is generally clear, there are frequent grammatical errors, particularly with subject-verb agreement ('Some pupil show', 'some wants') and article usage ('the knowledge of different areas'). There are also issues with sentence construction, such as 'If a person highly skilled in mathematics, do not know how to use laptop can not survive'. These errors are noticeable and occasionally distract the reader. Focusing on proofreading for basic agreement and ensuring every sentence has a clear subject and verb will significantly improve your score.
