Student answer (Band 5.5)

There is an ongoing debate between tertiary education system majority students acquire to adopt global knowledge rather than just focusing on compulsory curriculum Meanwhile, most of the individuals thinks its crucial to put all efforts on academic subject. From my perspective, acquiring world-wide knowledge is better rather than just memorizing topics.

Knowledge is not about to just memorize some books its all about to gain skills to learn from other books and adopt considerable expertise. Individuals should study about their culture, traditions and variety of other topics instead of just focusing on their particular subject. So the outcomes would be amaze they called as a multitalented workers. Furthermore, It built a confident and they never lack in any race of life. For instance, 12th student who just memorized subjects rather than learned concept he might be able to scored 90% in exams but in quiz exam he lacked overall.

It is necessary to put your endless efforts for qualification because, to achieve a desired employment individual must be scored well in their degree however, people just retain the course in mind and never teach any skill. Moreover, after doing to much struggle if person did not achieved their dream profession result would be stress and anxiety this all due to lack of skills and knowledge about jobs. To illustrate an example, multinational company do not hire people just because one sheet paper its contribution of both study and skills and your understanding with all social impact activity.

In conclusion, it is more crucial to give attention to studying for a degree, however I believe students learn about their own individual subject and adopt a various skills about other knowledge full impact, its gives more confident to survive in this competitive world.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat inconsistent. While the points regarding the benefits of a broad education and the necessity of academic focus are relevant, the supporting examples—such as the '12th student' and the 'multinational company'—are underdeveloped and lack clarity in their expression. The conclusion is slightly contradictory, as it attempts to balance both views but ends with a somewhat confusing summary of the student's stance. To reach a higher band, ensure that each supporting point is fully explained with clear, logical reasoning rather than relying on vague anecdotes.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, and there is a clear attempt to use cohesive devices such as 'Furthermore', 'Moreover', and 'In conclusion'. However, the flow of ideas is occasionally hindered by awkward phrasing and mechanical transitions. For instance, the transition between the introduction and the first body paragraph is abrupt. Additionally, referencing is sometimes unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the progression of the argument. While the paragraphing is sufficient, the internal cohesion within paragraphs needs to be more fluid to achieve a higher score.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.5

The range of vocabulary is adequate for the task but lacks precision and sophistication. There are several instances of awkward word choices and incorrect collocations, such as 'ongoing debate between tertiary education system majority students' and 'result would be stress and anxiety'. The student attempts to use more academic vocabulary, but the usage is often inaccurate, which occasionally impedes the flow of meaning. To improve, the student should focus on learning common collocations and using more precise terminology related to education and professional development.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5

The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors throughout. Issues include subject-verb agreement (e.g., 'most of the individuals thinks'), incorrect verb forms (e.g., 'he might be able to scored'), and missing articles or prepositions. While these errors do not completely prevent the reader from understanding the main points, they are frequent enough to cause some distraction. The student needs to focus on basic sentence construction and proofreading to eliminate these persistent errors.
