Student answer (Band 6.0)
These days some people seem to argue that a group of certain university learners aspire to gain knowledge out of their field subjects. On the other hand, others are of the opinion that it is necessory for students to maintain focus and give all time to their chosen field. However, this essay shall discuss both these views and give my opinion.
In the first place, it would be quite interesting to note that having a knowledge in multiple subjects play vital role to an individual life. Some people want to become an expert into two or more different domain because two in one profession opens higher pospects of success for an individual. One illustration for this is that it provides them to a better living standard including financial stability so they can support themselves and their family.
Furthermore, while focusing and investing all time at only one field make an students master and superior in his respective area of study. It helps learner to do a deep research and grow with high knowledge of possession and it also makes him a unique from others. For instance, these students can get a opportunity on a higher position in the organization with high offer income which will be far more then those who specialised in more then one qualification.
In conclusion, I am convinced to say that it is indeed a debatable issue which needs further discussion and analysis. Howver, in the light of above-discussed arguments and examples. I am quite safe to conclude that the advantages of became a expert on only field overweigh its disadvantages and far outweigh in many aspects.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 6.0
The response addresses both sides of the argument and provides a clear personal opinion in the conclusion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited. For instance, the argument for learning multiple subjects is supported by a vague claim about 'higher prospects of success,' which lacks specific detail. Similarly, the argument for specialization is repetitive and relies on general statements rather than concrete examples. To reach a higher band, you should expand on your points with more specific, illustrative examples that clearly link to the benefits or drawbacks mentioned. The position is clear, but the supporting arguments need more depth and logical extension to fully satisfy the requirements of the prompt.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 6.0
The essay is organized into logical paragraphs, each with a clear focus. Cohesive devices such as 'In the first place,' 'Furthermore,' and 'In conclusion' are used to signal the structure. However, the use of these devices is sometimes mechanical, and there are instances where the flow between sentences is slightly disjointed. For example, the transition between the benefits of specialization and the concluding paragraph is abrupt. Additionally, some referencing is unclear, such as the phrase 'in the light of above-discussed arguments' which is slightly awkward. Improving the variety and naturalness of your linking words will help the essay flow more smoothly.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.5
The vocabulary is generally adequate for the task, but it lacks the precision and range required for a higher band. There are several instances of awkward word choices or incorrect collocations, such as 'knowledge of possession,' 'offer income,' and 'became a expert.' While the meaning is generally clear, these errors indicate a limited control over more sophisticated vocabulary. To improve, focus on learning common collocations and using more precise academic terminology. You should also aim to avoid repetitive phrasing and ensure that your word choices are contextually accurate.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.5
The essay contains a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but there are frequent grammatical errors that occasionally impede the reader's flow. Examples include 'having a knowledge in multiple subjects play vital role,' 'make an students master,' and 'far more then those.' These errors involve subject-verb agreement, article usage, and confusion between 'then' and 'than.' While the meaning is usually understandable, the frequency of these errors prevents the essay from reaching a higher band. You should focus on proofreading for basic grammatical accuracy, particularly with plurals, articles, and verb forms.
