Student answer (Band 5.5)

In the modern world skillful profiles are more demandable in every sector, because of their task solveing capability is higher than ordinary people. It is often argued that some university student want to learn many additional subject with their main one, while others believe studying for a particular qualification is more significant. Although Both groups have their own point, in my opinion I would say that attention to studying a particular qualification is more important.

There are several reasons why I agree that student should concentrate on a particular subject. Firsty, when student concentrate on a particular subject, it helps them to become master and aslo create chance to gather deep knowledge on that subject. For example, when the student start their new job they need to manage various types of difficult task. In addition, on that time they can use their particular skill to solve difficult problem easily. Furthermore, it helps them to build their strong profile on that sector, aslo they can shine in their professional life.

On the other hand, some people believe that studying multiple subjects help them to become more successful. In modern fast forward developing world change in a consistens basis, so if student learn multiple subjects that can help them to prepare themselves for upcoming challenges. For instance, many companies try to hire multi-tasking people, because of their high experience on different subjects. Moreover, different types of knowledge helps students to preparing themselvs for multiple tasks.

In conclusion, different types of knowldege helps students to prepare them for upcoming world. However, I strongly believe that learn one qualification properly help students to become more successful in their life. They can easily shine in one particular sector.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views—learning additional subjects versus focusing solely on a main qualification—and clearly states an opinion in favor of focusing on a single qualification. The position is maintained throughout the essay. However, the ideas in the body paragraphs tend to be somewhat repetitive and lack fully developed extension or specific real-world examples, relying instead on generalized statements like "manage various types of difficult task." This places the response comfortably at Band 6, as it addresses the prompt adequately but suffers from under-developed support in places.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay is arranged coherently with a clear overall structure, including an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the two opposing viewpoints. Cohesive devices are employed, such as "Firsty," "On the other hand," and "In conclusion," though some transitions are used awkwardly or mechanically (e.g., "Firsty" instead of "Firstly," and "on that time" instead of "at that time"). Referencing is generally clear, but the logical progression within the second body paragraph stumbles slightly due to repetitive phrasing.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The student demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting less common items such as "qualification," "multi-tasking," and "professional life." However, there are numerous word choice errors and awkward collocations, such as "skillful profiles are more demandable," "consistens basis," and "learn one qualification." Spelling errors also occur (e.g., "solveing," "Firsty," "aslo," "knowldege"). These errors do not impede overall communication, but they restrict the lexical score to Band 5.5, as the vocabulary control is inconsistent.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, utilizing structures like conditional and concessive clauses (e.g., "Although both groups have their own point, in my opinion I would say..."). However, there are frequent grammatical and punctuation errors throughout the text, including subject-verb agreement issues ("some university student want," "student concentrate"), missing articles ("help students to prepare them"), and awkward phrasing. While these errors rarely completely impede communication, they occur with enough frequency to prevent the essay from reaching Band 6.
