Student answer (Band 5.0)
In this contemporary era, The way of learning has changed in the recent years. However, diverse students want to learn about other subjecs rather then prominent subject, While, othersw believe that it is more imperative to focus on main subjects, which are crucial for their qualification. This essay will not only elaborate the both opinions but also my point of view will be highlighted in the conclusion.
Commencing with the most salient reason, why scholars ought to learn other subjects instead of main subject. No doubt, that main subjects are impotant but other subjects are also essential. initially, there are numerous options of subject depending on the course they have selected such as enviornment science , english , punjabi and many more. if the students will learn other subjects along with their main subjects, Then capability of experiencing and learning new skills will be improved. Moreover, the undergraduates can learn different things when thy have additional subjects, as the majority of these courses are closely related to their ongoing courses. For instance, In india, The number of colleges and unversities are now offering additional subjects with their main course. hence, students are willing to learn new skills which will be benefical for them in the future.
Probhing ahead. Some argue that the universities should focus only on main courses, Firstly, if students are paying full attention to their the particular subject they can easily became expert in it and has vast knowledge about their particular field. Then if they more subjects then they will be easily distracted from thier goals and also leads to failure i the career.
In conclusion, the students will gain additional knowledge about other subjects and will be beneficial in the future because every course has their importance. According to my point of view, there must be other subjects along with main subjects, by which they
can grasp the concepts easily.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views on whether university students should study additional subjects alongside their main qualification and provides the writer's personal opinion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. For instance, the discussion on the benefits of learning other subjects relies heavily on general assertions rather than fully extended arguments or concrete examples, as seen in the vague mention of Indian universities. The position is stated, but the support lacks depth and structure. Overall, the performance aligns with the Band 5 descriptors because it addresses the prompt, but the ideas remain under-developed and lack sufficient extension.
Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0
The essay is divided into four paragraphs, showing an attempt at logical organisation with introductory and concluding remarks. However, the progression of ideas is frequently disrupted by poor sentence boundary punctuation, erratic capitalization (e.g., 'The way of learning...', 'While, othersw believe...'), and awkward transitions like 'Probhing ahead.' Cohesive devices are used repetitively or inaccurately, and referencing is occasionally unclear, which creates a jerky reading experience. Paragraphing is attempted, but internal cohesion is weak. These features place the response firmly in the Band 5 category for Coherence and Cohesion.
Lexical Resource — Band 5.0
The student uses a minimally adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting some less common words such as 'contemporary', 'prominent', and 'imperative'. However, there are frequent spelling errors ('subjecs', 'othersw', 'impotant', 'enviornment', 'benefical', 'Probhing') and severe word-choice or collocation inaccuracies ('capability of experiencing', 'leads to failure i the career'). These errors sometimes cause difficulty for the reader and impede smooth communication, reflecting the core characteristics of Band 5 in Lexical Resource.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, but control is weak. There are numerous grammatical errors and awkward structures throughout the text, such as sentence fragments and run-on sentences ('Commencing with the most salient reason, why scholars ought to learn other subjects instead of main subject'). Errors involving punctuation, articles, subject-verb agreement, and prepositions are frequent and often cause difficulty for the reader. Complex structures are frequently faulty. This performance fits the Band 5 descriptors for Grammatical Range and Accuracy.
