Student answer (Band 5.5)

There are many people who reckon that many childreen want to get knowledge about various subjects with their main subjects, while other argue that is is essential to give all their time and attention to studying for get knowledge and pass the exam with better number because it help student to get other experience during their study and also it improve their knowledge in various sectors. I will explain my point of view in the upcoming paragraphs.

Turning towards the details, many student want to learn different subjects in their college apart from main subjects because it help them to learn new skills. In college student can learn various skills through their study like many college provide many program for student to gain knowledge in business sectors, which enhance their knowledge as well as they provide diploma with it. Moreover, student can choose sports as a option, which is also a good way fit healthy as well as they provide certificate, which is important for student to get job in future.

Moving further, many people think that children just focus on study just for qualification, but it is not important because sometime pupils can not focus on study but they are good at other thing. To conclude, In my perspective student have the right to choose what they want to do in their life. They can choose study main subjects or other subjects to get more knowledge, not just focus on qualification but for their own choose and happiness, which help them to achive their dream in life.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.5

The student addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views on whether university students should study other subjects or focus solely on their main qualification, and a clear personal position is presented in the conclusion. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. For instance, the discussion on learning new skills through business programs or sports is rather generalised and lacks deep elaboration. The introduction is also slightly confusing, mentioning 'childreen want to get knowledge about various subjects with their main subjects' while simultaneously introducing the counter-argument. Overall, the response meets the basic requirements of the task, earning a Band 6.0 due to relevant ideas that remain somewhat under-developed.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.5

The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a clear attempt to structure the response into introduction, body paragraphs, and a conclusion. Paragraphing is used to separate different viewpoints. However, the progression of ideas is frequently interrupted by mechanical cohesive devices and referencing issues. Phrases like 'Turning towards the details,' 'Moving further,' and 'To conclude,' are used somewhat repetitively and unnaturally. Furthermore, sentences within the paragraphs often run on without clear internal cohesion, making it harder for the reader to follow the logical flow seamlessly. Paragraphing and referencing are sufficient to achieve a Band 5.5, but logical progression needs refinement.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting some less common phrases such as 'enhance their knowledge', 'business sectors', and 'carrer'. However, there are numerous lexical errors and inappropriate word choices throughout the text, such as 'childreen', 'for get knowledge', 'better number' instead of higher grades, 'fit healthy' instead of stay healthy, and 'carriere'. Additionally, repetition of basic words like 'study', 'subjects', and 'knowledge' is very noticeable. These errors and the restricted range place the vocabulary performance firmly at Band 5.0.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, demonstrating some capability to link ideas using subordinating conjunctions such as 'because' and 'while'. However, the text is plagued by frequent grammatical errors, incorrect verb forms, and punctuation issues. Examples include 'while other argue that is is essential', 'help student to get other experience', 'some student are good at sports', and 'they pressure them to quit their dream of sports just focus on study, which leads them to lost their interest'. These frequent errors frequently strain the reader and interfere with clarity, though meaning is still generally retrievable. This corresponds to a Band 5.0.
