Student answer (Band 5.5)
Over the past few decades , Students concern about their education has been matter of discussion in the world. This is why some students want to learn extra
sujects beside to their main subjets to broaden their horizon. In my perspective
students concern about learning is more crucial than the traditional educational system that had been teaching same subjects from last 20-30 years.
Initially, Concern of students to learn extra subjects beside the subjects refrerred by university help them to develop their knowledge in a broad manner. It is because Subjects that are taught by university cannot provide enough knowledge
about their matter of concernerd sector so additional subjects help them to built their broad knowledge. For example, a person studying computer science in recent time will not get sufficient knowledge about his/her filed while todays it companies are looking for a person who understand and can use mathematics so
learnig additional mathematics is helpful fo a student to built his future.Additional subjects can playa huge role in a students life as they can develop additional skills beside their study. This change help them to grab job opportunity in future.
On the other hand , Some students believe that it is more important to focus in thier study for qualification ie more crucial. It is because today job marked required
a person who is good at his major field and qualification is equally importannt to get a good job. for example, while studying computer science if a perosn has good command over software development and after graduaction he/she has good qualification then he/she can definitaly get a high paying job.In this way studying for a qualification can be useful for a person with some hurdles as their field of interest developed with time.
To sum up , Learning extra subjects beside their mandatory subject can be tactil
move for a student because a student should focus only his study but at the same time they should be able to transform themselve with the opportunity in future.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response addresses both views regarding whether university students should study extra subjects or focus solely on their main qualifications, and a clear personal position is presented in the introduction and conclusion. However, the development of ideas suffers from a lack of clear explanation and generalisation. For instance, the argument regarding computer science students needing mathematics is relevant, but the elaboration is somewhat repetitive and vague ("build his future"). The second body paragraph covers the opposing view that focusing on a qualification is crucial because the job market requires specialists, citing a computer science example. While all parts of the prompt are addressed, the arguments remain underdeveloped, placing this response at Band 6.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay is arranged into four paragraphs, including an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion, showing an overall coherent arrangement. However, logical progression is sometimes hindered by abrupt transitions and mechanical cohesive devices. For example, the use of transition markers like "Initially" and "On the other hand" is present, but internal cohesion within paragraphs is faulty due to missing articles, awkward referencing, and punctuation spacing issues (e.g., spaces before commas). Paragraphing is used appropriately to separate the two opposing views, but referencing is occasionally unclear, which prevents the essay from achieving a higher band score.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The student demonstrates an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting some less common items such as "broaden their horizon," "traditional educational system," and "software development." However, there are numerous noticeable spelling and word choice errors throughout the text, including "sujects" instead of subjects, "concernerd" instead of concerned, "learnig" instead of learning, "marked" instead of market, and "tactil" instead of tactful. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they recur frequently enough to restrict the lexical score to Band 5.5.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, such as conditional and relative clauses (e.g., "a person studying computer science in recent time will not get sufficient knowledge..."). However, there is a high frequency of grammatical and punctuation errors, including missing articles, subject-verb agreement issues ("Students concern about their education has been matter"), and incorrect prepositions ("from last 20-30 years"). Punctuation is also poorly managed with erratic spacing around commas and periods. These frequent errors cause occasional difficulty for the reader and prevent the grammar score from reaching Band 6.
