Others believe it is more important to give all their time and attention to studying for a qualification. Discuss both these views and give your opinion. Student answer (Band 5.5)
The question of whether university students wants to learn the others subjects with their main subjects or some don't want to add the other courses both are more beneficial has generated considerable debate. While supporters of the students who eager to join the extra subjects argue that if they learn new subjects which is not related not their main degree it has significant value in the market regarding to get a job, others maintain that there should be a degree specific subjects are enough. This essay will examine both prespectives before explaining why i believe that scholars must have to learn the other subjects.
On the one hand, there are several reasons behind this why mostly students prefer to add on the other subjects. The primary arguement is that if we have a vast experience and knowledge of the other courses it will be beneficial for us to grab a good job and sometimes also a part time job as well. For instance, if a student have a skill of some cooking skills it will definately secure a good reputation in other types of students.
On the other hand, those who favour that we only have a lead focus on our main subjects argus that if they have an extra type of subjects or skill it will be distraction point related to their specilization. For example, if someone enrolled in other type of getting knowledge it will not be able to focus on their main subjects which is the negative impact on them. Personally, i beleive that students should learn other subjects or skills in a part time by which they can easily be competitive in the market as early as they get an acknowledgment.
In conclusion, both have their own merits but i will be preferablly go for the students who wants to get an extra knowledge and have eager to learn as much as they can do.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views—learning extra subjects versus focusing solely on a main qualification—and provides a clear personal opinion. The student's position is maintained throughout the essay. However, the ideas are somewhat limited and under-developed, particularly in the body paragraphs where examples lack depth and specific relevance. For instance, the example provided about cooking skills is slightly tangential to standard university curriculum discussions. Furthermore, some generalisations are present, such as claiming that cooking skills secure a good reputation among other types of students. Despite these limitations in depth and development, the prompt's core requirements are met adequately, aligning best with a Band 6 descriptor.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The essay displays a coherent overall arrangement with a clear paragraph structure, utilizing standard introductory, body, and concluding sections. Logical connectors such as 'On the one hand', 'On the other hand', and 'In conclusion' are used to guide the reader through the text. However, cohesion is at times mechanical or faulty, and referencing is occasionally unclear, such as in the concluding sentence where 'both have their own merits but i will be preferablly go for the students' creates confusion in referencing. Paragraphing is present and appropriate, but transitional flow between sentences within paragraphs could be smoother and more precise to reach higher band levels.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
The student uses an adequate range of vocabulary for the task, attempting some less common phrases such as 'considerable debate', 'significant value', and 'specilization'. However, there are numerous lexical and spelling errors throughout the text, including 'prespectives', 'arguement', 'defanately', 'beleive', and 'preferablly'. Word choice and collocation are also imprecise in places, such as 'lead focus' instead of 'sole focus' and 'distraction point'. While these errors do not completely impede communication, they are frequent enough to prevent the response from achieving a Band 7.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
The writing demonstrates a mix of simple and complex sentence forms, attempting structures such as conditional and relative clauses ('While supporters of the students who eager to join...'). However, the text contains frequent grammatical errors, particularly regarding subject-verb agreement ('university students wants', 'student have', 'someone enrolled... will not be able'), missing articles, and awkward phrasing ('if we have a vast experience and knowledge of the other courses it will be beneficial for us'). Punctuation and capitalization errors, such as lowercase 'i', are also noticeable. These errors require some effort from the reader to parse, placing the grammar firmly in the Band 5 category.
