Student answer (Band 5.0)

A few number of students would like to gain knowledge further topic besides to their core subjects.Remaining think that it is more essential to give their time and focus to studying for credentials.

Nowadays people do one to two course or get degree besides their main courses. Because in today's world everyone is competitive, everyone wants to get a high positin in their job. Thats means ones need to be more creative, knowledgeable, and extraordinary. It requires so many things to be that person. Everyone must learn different kind of language, different skills which may not be include in their courses. So, it would be difficult for the students to learn the other courses if it is not provide by the university.

Again, every coin has two sides. In the university students feel too much pressure because of their academic studies. There are quizes, presentations, projects submission, assignments and all the things. Moreover, they also have to attend all the classes as attendance carries a lot of mark also.many student feel pressurise, for that they do not want another courses other than thei main courses. They want a great result by focusing on their core courses. This can no be neglected as it is also about their mental health and physical health.

In my opinion,I would choose another courses should be included besides the main sbjects. It will help to achieve more knowledge simultaneously it will also help them in the future. So it is not necessary for the every student but for them who are intereted to take more courses.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The response addresses all parts of the task by discussing both views on whether university students should study other subjects or focus solely on their core credentials, and a personal opinion is presented. The ideas are relevant, mentioning competition, job positions, and academic pressure such as quizzes, presentations, and attendance policies. However, the development of these ideas is limited and somewhat superficial. For instance, the transition between ideas can be abrupt, and the arguments lack deeper elaboration or fully relevant examples from personal knowledge or experience. While the position is clear throughout, the overall development places this response firmly in Band 5.0.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The essay is divided into four paragraphs representing an introduction, two body paragraphs, and a conclusion. There is some overall organization, but progression is hindered by repetitive phrasing and a lack of smooth transitions between sentences. Cohesive devices are used awkwardly or inaccurately at times, such as 'A few number of students' and 'Again, every coin has two sides,' which feels mechanical. Paragraphing is attempted, but internal cohesion is weak. Referencing is occasionally unclear, making it harder for the reader to follow the logical development of ideas. These features correspond to a Band 5.0 level.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is relatively basic and repetitive, with frequent lexical errors that constrain the precision of the text. Examples include 'high positin', 'different kind of language' instead of 'languages', and 'intereted' instead of 'interested'. While there are attempts to use less common words such as 'extraordinary', 'competitive', and 'simultaneously', inaccuracies in word choice and spelling ('quizes', 'pressurise') are noticeable and occasionally cause slight difficulty for the reader. The lexical range is minimally adequate for the task, fitting the Band 5.0 descriptors.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The essay displays a very limited range of sentence structures, relying heavily on simple sentences and basic coordination. Attempts at complex sentences are frequently faulty or ungrammatical, such as 'So, it would be difficult for the students to learn the other courses if it is not provide by the university' and 'This can no be neglected'. There are frequent grammatical errors involving subject-verb agreement, articles, and verb forms (e.g., 'every student... for them who are intereted'). Punctuation and basic mechanics also show recurring flaws. These issues place the response at Band 4.5, rounded to 5.0 based on general patterns.
