Student answer (Band 5.5)
In the universities some students wants to learn other subjects with their main coursre. However some of the people believe it is more essential to pay attention to studing for a qualification. But i consider students should learn other subjects.
If you learn different courses apart from your main subjects it will help you to gain knowledge anout other things. It will also help you to developed different skills and to get experience in different courses. Moreover you also can alligin different courses and subjects with your main degree
For example, i did bachelor's in accounting and finance but i also wanted to learn coding and different languages of computers such as java and C++.On my last semester there was a competition of coding and languages of computer so i was the only student who was participated in this competition from my department althoug this was not something related to my course but i learned the coding and C++ language with my subjects and i won that competition because of the extra awareness of different things.
However some of people believe, that students must stick to their subjects and pay attention to studying for a qualification because it will help them to get better grades and more experties about their courses. And students can also make skills realted to their degree which will helps them to secure good job.
To conclude this, students must developed their skills by learning different courses to gain extra knowledge and also some students pay attention to their subjects to get better job however i prefer students must learn diffenent skills.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both views and make your own position clear: you favour learning subjects beyond a main degree. The accounting student’s coding competition is a relevant, specific example that supports this view, while the opposing paragraph explains that focusing on a qualification may improve grades and job prospects. However, the two sides are not developed equally. The benefits of broader study receive a detailed example, whereas the case for concentrating on a qualification is stated briefly and largely in general terms. The conclusion repeats your preference but could draw the discussion together more clearly. To strengthen the response, explain when specialisation may be especially valuable and develop the comparison between the two approaches before reaching your conclusion.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph supporting broader study, a paragraph presenting the alternative, and a conclusion. The example about coding also gives the main supporting paragraph a clear focus, and transitions such as “However” and “To conclude” help signal changes in direction. At times, though, connections between ideas are mechanical or unclear. For instance, “Moreover you also can alligin different courses” does not clearly explain how the subjects relate, and the long example sentence contains several points without clear separation. Use clearer topic sentences and divide extended explanations into shorter sentences. More precise referencing and linking would make the progression between claims and examples easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including relevant terms such as “qualification,” “accounting and finance,” “coding,” and “secure good job.” There are also attempts to express more specific concepts, such as learning “different skills” and gaining “extra knowledge.” However, the range is limited and several spelling, word-form, and collocation errors make parts of the response less clear, including “experties,” “alligin,” and “extra awareness of different things.” Repetition of “subjects,” “courses,” and “learn” also reduces precision. Build a bank of accurate phrases for discussing education and employment, and check spelling and collocations carefully. For example, describe how broader study can “complement” a degree rather than using an unclear phrase.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including a conditional opening (“If you learn different courses…”) and a reason clause explaining why students may focus on qualifications. The main ideas are generally understandable, but errors in agreement, verb forms, articles, and sentence boundaries occur in several places. For example, “some students wants” should use a plural verb, and “it will help you to developed” has an incorrect verb form. The opening also runs “coursre. However” together, while the long competition example would benefit from clearer punctuation and sentence division. Practise checking subject–verb agreement and keeping verb forms consistent, then proofread punctuation so that complex ideas remain easy to read.
