Student answer (Band 6.0)

People have different views regarding whether learners want to get knowledge about another additional subjects in their school or college campus because another type of knowledge is very important for every students. while some believe that they give their most of time on their main subjects or educational credentials. This essay will examine the both sides of this issue before presenting my own perspective.

On the one hand, there several reasons why some people believe that additional subject is very most prominent for every individual for getting another knowledge afterthat, he is encouraging creativity and personal growth whenever learn about another subject because exploring varied disciplines prevents academic burnout and helps students make interdisciplinary connections, leading to innovative problem-solving in their primary field. For instance, whenever learner take another subject in their class such as drawing in additional afterthat he is getting knowledge about that how to do painting and creativity things. As a result, another type of knowledge is very important for every students for broder their skills in another fields and get to chance for doing well.

On the other hand, proponents of focusing exclusively on core degree subjects argue that intensive specialization is essential for professional mastery and academic success. Dedicating all time and energy to a single discipline allows students to develop an in-depth understanding of complex theories and practical skills, which is particularly critical in specialized fields like medicine, law, or engineering. Furthermore, concentrating solely on mandatory modules prevents cognitive overload and study-related stress. By eliminating the distraction of secondary subjects, students can manage their workload more effectively, resulting in higher academic marks and a stronger qualification to enter the job market.

In conclusion, while focusing exclusively on core subjects leads to deeper expertise and higher academic results, I believe that learning additional subjects is more beneficial. A broader education equips students with versatile skills and adaptability, which are essential for long-term career success in a modern workforce.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0

You address both views and state a clear opinion in the conclusion: you favour learning additional subjects because they build versatile skills and adaptability. The discussion of focused study is particularly well supported, with relevant examples of medicine, law and engineering and a clear link to professional mastery. The case for broader study is also relevant, but less fully developed: the drawing example illustrates creativity, yet the explanation of how this benefits students beyond the example remains general. The opening also describes the issue somewhat unclearly. To strengthen the response, explain each main benefit with a specific consequence or example, and make your position clear earlier as well as in the conclusion.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a coherent overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion that restates your position. Signposting such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” helps readers follow the discussion. However, cohesion is sometimes mechanical, and the first body paragraph contains a long, difficult-to-follow sentence beginning “there several reasons” and continuing through “afterthat.” The example and its explanation are also joined in a way that obscures the progression of ideas. Use clearer sentence boundaries and connect each example directly to the point it supports. More precise referencing would also help readers track who is learning or benefiting in the first body paragraph.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.5

You show some useful range with phrases such as “interdisciplinary connections,” “innovative problem-solving,” “professional mastery,” and “cognitive overload.” These choices suit the topic and communicate several ideas precisely, especially in the second body paragraph. However, word choice and collocation are inconsistent elsewhere: “another additional subjects,” “very most prominent,” and “get to chance” are unnatural or unclear, while “broder” is misspelled. Repetition of “another type of knowledge” and “additional subject” also limits flexibility. Aim for accurate, natural combinations such as “broaden their knowledge” and “develop transferable skills,” and check spelling and word forms. This would make the vocabulary more consistently effective without losing the relevant topic-specific language you already use.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.5

You attempt both simple and complex sentence forms. The second body paragraph includes controlled structures such as “Dedicating all time and energy to a single discipline allows students…” and “which is particularly critical in specialized fields,” showing an ability to express cause and qualification. However, some errors in sentence construction, agreement, articles and punctuation remain, particularly in the first body paragraph. For example, “there several reasons” lacks a verb, “every students” has incorrect agreement, and “whenever learner take” has errors in article use and verb form. The opening also begins a new sentence with lowercase “while.” Review sentence completeness, subject–verb agreement and article use, and break up the long first-body sentence so that complex structures remain clear.
