Student answer (Band 5.5)

Nowadays because of globalization, people are giving more importance to learning new things rather than only focusing only patricular qualification. In that case, Some university learners don't depanded on limited studies and want more additional subjects with their main major so that they can boarden their knowledge while others argue it is more important to give all their time and attention to studying for a qualification. In this essay i will discuss both sides. However, In my opinion, I believe multiple subjects with main subjects will be benificial for students.

On the one hand, some students believe that learners main focus should be persue a qualification rather then gaining knowledge. They are doing studies only for their personal achivements such as persue a job. However, it won't be good for their future because in this modern age job compitation is huge. Therefore, only particular education doesn't help to growth people's career.

On the other hand, additional subject with main subjects will be more benificial for universtity students. It will help them to learn other sides besides their main side. It will also inspire learners to do new activities. For example, If a student skills at multiple subjects, he or she has a multiple career opportunities. As a result, they don't have to rely on one particular profession. Moreover, not only they have job opportunities in their own country but also they have chance to do great things in abroad.

In conclusion, giving all time and attention to studying only for a qualification is not ideally good for today's generation. It may give them some certain benifits but I believe if they thinking about long time planning then learning other subjects in addition to their main subjects will be more good for their career as well as their knowledge.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You address both views and state a clear preference for studying additional subjects, so the response is relevant to the task. The paragraph beginning “On the one hand” gives a reason for focusing on a qualification, while the next paragraph explains possible benefits of broader study, including more career options. However, the first view is not fully represented: the claim that students focus on qualifications “for their personal achievements such as pursue a job” is brief and does not explain why concentrating on one subject may be valuable. The benefits of studying widely are also asserted more than demonstrated. Develop each side with a specific example and explain how it supports your position; this would make the discussion more complete and persuasive.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. Signposts such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the basic organisation. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes weak, and connections between claims are not always clear. For example, the first body paragraph moves from personal achievement to job competition and then to career growth without explaining the links. The second paragraph repeats the idea of career opportunities in several forms. Use fewer formulaic transitions and connect each reason to its consequence more explicitly. Clearer topic sentences and more deliberate development would make the overall argument easier to follow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use vocabulary relevant to education and employment, including “qualification,” “additional subjects,” “career opportunities,” and “profession.” This gives you enough language to communicate the main ideas. However, the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices or collocations make parts of the response difficult to interpret, such as “learn other sides besides their main side” and “long time planning.” Spelling errors are also noticeable, including “benificial,” “compitation,” and “universtity.” Aim for more precise academic phrasing and check spelling carefully. For instance, describe learning outside a major as “studying subjects beyond their specialism,” and refer to “long-term career plans” rather than “long time planning.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt a mixture of simple and longer sentences, including a conditional example: “If a student skills at multiple subjects, he or she has a multiple career opportunities.” However, complex structures are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences awkward or unclear. Examples include “students believe that learners main focus should be persue a qualification,” where the verb pattern is incomplete, and “if they thinking about long time planning,” which lacks the required verb form. There are also problems with articles, agreement, and sentence punctuation, as in “a multiple career opportunities.” Practise building accurate clauses with a clear subject and verb, then check verb forms and articles before adding more complex ideas.
