Student answer (Band 5.5)

For education, few things are more important than whether university student should learn other subjects and focus on studying for qualification. In many developed or developing countries, a substantial amount of attention is given to learn other subjects and focus on studying for qualification, as it often requires different resources such as sufficient funding, qualified teachers, enough study materials.Nowadays many would agree that modern society is moving its traditional boundaries, and the learning other subjects and focus on studies for qualification are becoming increasingly important for student.Nevertheless, I firmly believe that both views have some value, but university student should learn other subjects is more convincing.

Naturally, some university students want to learn others subjects in addition to their main courses, in the form of qualityful learning, is considered highly important for university education, as it often creates valuable facilities for improving their knowledge boundaries, expart from every side, get job easily. Moreover, it demonstrates remarkable benefit for student, as it influences and improves many important areas of education. If this is adopted by university authorities alike many student can benefit significantly. For instance, when student have other knowledge beyond their university cources, It help them to get a job more easily.Furthermore, country get a knowledgable population which makes a country more developed.

Under certain circumstances, however, others believe that they should focus on studying for a qualification because of several reasons such as higher studies, critical thinking, better academic performances. While learn other subjects is widely accepted in many developed and major cities, people from poorer or developing regions may face difficulties because of lack of money, limited resources and access. Therefore, The idea of learn other subjects does not seem always attractive or practical to everyone.

However, from educational perspectives, if the goals of better education is show that learn other subjects is not merely an option but a necessity, then people may choose to accept a balance approach. It is the responsibility of university authorities to evaluate the role of learn other subjects and decide whether it will bring more benefit than harm. Therefore, i believe that university student should learn other subject because it benefical for them.In conclusion, both views have some valuable points but university student should learn other subjects is more convincing in modern society.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You discuss both positions and state a clear preference in the introduction and conclusion: you argue that students should study subjects beyond their main course. The example that broader knowledge may help a graduate get a job is relevant, and you also recognise that limited money and resources can make additional study difficult. However, the discussion only partially develops the task. The case for concentrating on a qualification is mainly listed as “higher studies, critical thinking, better academic performances,” without explaining how focused study produces these benefits. The argument for broader learning also relies on general claims about employment and national development. Develop each view with a specific explanation or example, and make your opinion more precise by explaining how students could balance the two priorities.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. Linking expressions such as “Moreover,” “For instance,” and “However” help signal relationships between ideas. Nevertheless, progression is uneven: the opening paragraph repeats the contrast between learning other subjects and focusing on a qualification, while the final paragraph introduces a “balance approach” without clearly connecting it to the earlier discussion. Some links are mechanical or do not show a clear relationship, as in “If this is adopted by university authorities alike many student…” Use each paragraph to develop one main point in a logical sequence, and make references such as “this” and “it” clearly identify the idea being discussed.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt some topic-related vocabulary, including “qualification,” “academic performances,” “limited resources,” and “developed.” However, the range is limited by repeated phrases such as “learn other subjects” and “university student,” and several word choices or forms make meaning difficult to follow. Examples include “qualityful learning,” “knowledge boundaries,” and “expart from every side”; these do not express the intended ideas naturally. Spelling and word-form errors such as “cources,” “knowledgable,” and “benefical” also reduce accuracy. Build a more precise set of phrases for discussing breadth of study and specialist qualifications, and check collocations and spelling. This would make your arguments clearer without relying on repeated wording.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including clauses beginning “because” and “if,” but control is inconsistent. Errors occur frequently in sentence structure, agreement, articles, and verb forms, and some sentences are difficult to interpret. For example, “when student have other knowledge… It help them” has agreement and sentence-boundary problems, while “the goals of better education is show” is not grammatically complete. The opening also runs ideas together without appropriate spacing or punctuation. Practise building accurate subject–verb–object sentences first, then add subordinate clauses and check agreement, articles, and punctuation. More reliable control of these patterns would make your meaning easier to follow.
