Student answer (Band 5.5)
The students of university have a wish to learn about other subjects with their main books. From my perspective, i believe that it is very useful for students. However, we could not reject the another statement because it has more crucial to keep completely focus on your main subject for obtaining desire marks.
In the begining, we would discuss about the first statement that how it has advantages and beneficial for student community. I think that if the students learn another subjects with the combination of main subject, the student will be aquired from different point of view. For instance, many people study computer science beacuse it's their main subject in addition they also read history books because they have bit craze in historic knowledge. The history is not their main subject but they would wish to learn it.
On the other hand, we should not completely declined the next line. Some individuals thdinks it will be totally wastage of time due to fact if they focus on other subject instead of focus on their mian subjects, they would not achieved the great grade in exams. For instance, i had a class fellow who had interest in politics but their main subject is bussiness. He always read politics book insted of studing their main department. Due to this fact, he obtained too much low grade in their exams.
In conclusion, the gaining of knowledge from others subject has many benficial. It opens your mind with different points. Along with this, we have not complete focus on others subjects because it does not help to improve your grades. Read it for short time not for long interval. If you learn your main books by heart, i hope you will get your desired marks.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both views and give a clear preference for learning beyond a main subject, especially in the opening and the conclusion. The examples—a computer science student reading history and your classmate prioritising politics over business—are relevant and help explain the contrast. This fits the criterion because the main parts of the question are covered, but some ideas are less fully developed than others. The benefits of studying another subject are stated mainly as gaining “different point of view” and opening the mind; explain more specifically how this could help students, such as by developing transferable skills. Your opinion also becomes less consistent in the conclusion, where the advice to focus on main subjects and protect grades partly overshadows your initial support for broader study. Clarify how students can balance both priorities.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall arrangement: an introduction, one paragraph for each view, and a conclusion. Phrases such as “On the other hand” and “In conclusion” make the direction of the discussion easy to follow, and each body paragraph has a relevant example. This meets the lower-band expectations and shows some features of stronger progression. However, linking is sometimes mechanical, with repeated openings such as “For instance” and “Due to this fact,” and some references are unclear: “the next line” does not clearly identify the second view. The conclusion also introduces advice about reading for a “short time” without connecting it fully to the earlier argument. Use more precise references and make each paragraph’s final point lead naturally into the next.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “main subject,” “qualification,” “knowledge,” and “grade.” There are also attempts at less common expressions, such as “different point of view” and “historic knowledge.” However, the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices or collocations make the writing sound unnatural or occasionally obscure. Examples include “main books,” “obtained too much low grade,” and “opens your mind with different points.” Spelling errors such as “begining,” “aquired,” and “bussiness” are also noticeable. Build a more precise set of phrases for discussing academic study and benefits, and check spelling and word forms carefully. More natural collocations would make your ideas clearer without requiring more complicated vocabulary.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and complex sentences, including conditional structures such as “if the students learn another subjects…” and a reason clause beginning “because.” This shows an effort to vary sentence forms. However, control is inconsistent, and errors in agreement, articles, verb forms, and sentence construction sometimes make the reader pause. For example, “Some individuals thdinks” has incorrect subject–verb agreement, while “they would not achieved” uses an incorrect verb form. In “the student will be aquired,” the passive construction is not formed correctly. Capitalisation of “I” is also inconsistent. Practise building accurate clauses before adding complexity, and check that subjects and verbs agree and that modal verbs are followed by the base form, as in “would not achieve.”
