Student answer (Band 5.5)

People hold different views regarding their subjects. In today's rapidly advancing world many university students want to get knowledge about other subjects included their main subjects. However, other argues that it is more essencial to give all their attention and time to studyiny your main course. From my standpoint i firmly agree to learn about some other course also to boost your skills.

On the one hand, there are several reasons that why i support this category. Firstly, many young people focus only main part of study this is not good thing because this is acual concerns that adults faced in their future. For example, in higher university students study only in mathematics cannot learn about english and ethics subject. After that in furthercoming days would be difficult what we talk to another person in other languages like english. Secondly, if you are not quite decent in communication skills this one is worse peoblem.

On the other hand, it is also more crucial part of study that you can be focused only one course. Some young adults are distract if they focus more than one subject. Moreover, attention to studing on your qualification should direct and immediate impact on achive your future goals. For instance, some individuals are effective in biology subject it is viral for become a doctor and secure your future and it is much efficient of achive your goals easily.

In conclusion, although both categories are play vial role in young people, it is only depend on student behaviour and how much do student remember. That is way i am keen to learn much more different topics rather than choose only one main topic.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You discuss both views and state a clear preference for studying additional subjects, so the response addresses the main parts of the prompt. The examples about mathematics students needing English and ethics, and biology students preparing for medical careers, are relevant. However, the reasons are not always explained clearly: the link between studying only mathematics and later difficulty communicating in other languages needs fuller explanation, and the opposing view is mostly asserted rather than explored. The conclusion says the choice depends on student behaviour, which slightly weakens your otherwise stated opinion. To strengthen the response, explain each view in more depth and make your final position consistent and decisive.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The essay has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. Signposts such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear, and some links feel mechanical. For example, “After that in furthercoming days” does not clearly show how the example follows from the previous point, while “Firstly” and “Secondly” introduce ideas that are not fully connected or developed. The conclusion’s shift to saying the decision depends on student behaviour also disrupts the line of argument. Use clearer links between claim, explanation, and example, and make references such as “this one” more precise.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some vocabulary relevant to education and future plans, including “qualification,” “communication skills,” “distract,” and “achieve your future goals.” However, the range is limited and several inaccurate word choices or collocations make parts of the argument difficult to understand. Phrases such as “this is acual concerns,” “furthercoming days,” and “it is viral for become a doctor” do not express the intended meaning naturally. Spelling errors, including “essencial,” “studying,” and “peoblem,” are also noticeable. Build a more reliable set of topic vocabulary and check spelling, word forms, and collocations. Prefer precise expressions such as “future career,” “develop communication skills,” and “focus on their main subject.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including a conditional structure in “if you are not quite decent in communication skills” and a contrast between the two views. However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. For example, “other argues” has incorrect subject–verb agreement, while “many young people focus only main part of study this is not good thing” joins clauses without appropriate punctuation and omits necessary grammatical elements. The sentence beginning “Moreover, attention to studing on your qualification” also has an unclear structure. Practise accurate sentence boundaries, articles, agreement, and verb patterns, then check each sentence for a clear subject and main verb.
