Student answer (Band 5.0)
In first view university students want to learn about other subject in addition to their main subjects. It is natural that students have interest in more than one subjects therefore they want to learn about. It is good to learn new subject along with your main subject. It will increase your knowledge, but if you are giving more attention to addition subject more than your main subject it can affect scores of your main subject. For example, if student's main subject is english and he need to score good in it for qualification but he likes speaking and learning gujarati and practicing it more than english this will affect on the score of english. If we see the second view where other stuents believe it is more important to give all their time and attention to studying for a qualifiction. It is good to give attention to studying for qualification.Student can qualify with highest scores and can get highest package for job. They can understand concept better and better by practicing it regularly. But after you qualify and get highest package of job where you have to do other activites also which are different from your subject then it will be hard to understand that work.Lets take example same as first view you gave your all time and attention in learning english and also qualified with highest score but you got your job at place where everyone speaks gujarati and understand gujarati more then english.from my opinion student should learn additional subject along with main subject but they should gave hardwork on their main subject and learn additional subject in their free time

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You discuss both views and give a clear preference in the final sentence: students should study an additional subject while prioritising their main one. The examples about English and Gujarati are relevant and help explain both the risk of distraction and the value of broader skills. However, the ideas remain limited and are not fully developed; for instance, the claim that high scores lead to a “highest package” is asserted rather than explained, and the workplace example could be linked more clearly to the benefits of studying another subject. The response is also one word below the required 250-word minimum. Develop each argument with a fuller explanation and a specific, relevant example.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0
The response follows a broadly understandable order: it introduces the first view, moves to the second, and ends with your opinion. Examples also give the reader some sense of how the ideas connect. However, the writing is presented as one long paragraph, so the two views and your conclusion are not clearly separated. Linking phrases such as “It is good” and “For example” are repeated, while the transition “If we see the second view” is awkward and does not create a smooth progression. Use separate paragraphs for the two positions and your conclusion, and connect each example directly to the point it supports. This would make the overall progression clearer and reduce repetition.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the main ideas, including “qualification,” “practicing,” “scores,” and “additional subject.” The English–Gujarati examples also make the discussion concrete. However, the range is limited, and several words or phrases are repeated, especially “attention,” “subject,” and “highest.” Some choices are inaccurate or unnatural, such as “highest package for job,” “other activites,” and “affect on the score.” Spelling errors, including “stuents” and “qualifiction,” are noticeable and can distract the reader. Build a wider set of precise expressions for academic study and employment, and check spelling and collocations when proofreading.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentences, including conditional examples such as “if student's main subject is english…” and a contrast introduced by “but.” This shows an effort to express relationships between ideas. However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently in sentence construction, agreement, articles, and punctuation. For example, “students have interest in more than one subjects” has problems with the article and plural form, while “he need to score” has subject–verb disagreement. Several sentences run together without appropriate full stops, and the final sentence shifts awkwardly from “student” to “they.” Practise accurate sentence boundaries and basic agreement before adding more complex structures.
