Student answer (Band 5.5)

Being a knowledgeable is verry important nowadays because compitation is increased at an autmost level. One groupof community believes that the students who do thair batcholers like to learn or try new subjects a part of thair main subjects, while others are argue that they should give entiar focus on study which gives them degree. Prior to my opinion, I would like to elaborated both view in ferther paragrapehs.

The all reasons wht student try new subject, the main one is that it gives them a chance to find out thair skills. there are different abilities present in every one, by trying somthing new individual can find out thair stranth. Moreover, it gives a chance to become famous. The other activities such as dancing, singing, acting and many more give fame. As it is the individual's area of interest, the need less heard work than they do in other subjects.

In contrast, give importans to the main subject can not negligible because whith the help of this subject person can get degree. The graduat who has degree and entiar knowledge about that subject make him or her more spacial than any other, as a result of that they can get good job apportunity. In addition, focussing on main subject help to improve marks and ranking in learner's marksheet. By good marks the overall impreson of person enhance on thair university and in thair job.

In my opinion, Students shoud try new subjects if they have no interest on main subject or if they have more attachment towerds other subject because forsing study of main subject is not working till the end.

In conclusion, there are benifits for both side but students should first find out thair interest and ability for study or other activity then they can become sucessful

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You discuss both views and give a personal position, so the response addresses the main parts of the prompt. The reasons for exploring other subjects—discovering abilities and pursuing activities such as singing or dancing—are relevant, as is the point that focusing on a degree may improve job prospects. However, these ideas are mostly asserted rather than explained with specific examples or clear links to university study. The opinion that students should try other subjects when they lack interest in their main subject is stated, but its implications are not fully explored and it sits somewhat uneasily beside the benefits you give for concentrating on a qualification. Develop each view with a concrete example and make your position more consistent and explicit throughout.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, your opinion, and a conclusion. This makes the overall arrangement coherent, and transitions such as “In contrast” and “In conclusion” help signal changes in direction. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes unclear: the claim that trying new subjects can bring fame is followed by a point about needing less effort, without explaining the connection. Phrases such as “Prior to my opinion” also do not clearly introduce the discussion. Some references, including “this subject” and “that,” could be more precise. Use topic sentences that state each paragraph’s main point, then connect supporting explanations and examples explicitly rather than relying mainly on basic transition phrases.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You attempt vocabulary relevant to education and future prospects, including “qualification,” “abilities,” “degree,” and “job opportunity,” and you use some topic-related expressions such as “main subject” and “marksheet.” However, the range is limited and several spelling and word-choice errors make parts difficult to read, for example “compitation,” “thair,” “entiar,” and “spacial.” Some combinations are also unnatural, such as “become famous” as a general benefit of studying another subject and “give importance to the main subject.” Aim for accurate, natural collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise terms such as “broaden their knowledge,” “identify their strengths,” and “career prospects” would help express your ideas clearly without relying on repeated general words.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt some complex sentence forms, including clauses with “because,” “as a result,” and “if,” and the reader can generally follow the main message. However, the range is limited, and errors occur frequently in sentence construction, agreement, articles, and verb forms. For example, “others are argue” has an incorrect verb pattern, while “focussing on main subject help” lacks both an article and subject–verb agreement. The opening, “Being a knowledgeable is verry important,” is also not grammatically formed. Several sentences join ideas without clear punctuation, which makes relationships harder to follow. Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then add subordinate clauses; check each sentence for a clear subject and verb, correct agreement, and appropriate articles.
