Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.5

You state a position in favour of focusing on the qualification, and you mention both views, so the response is connected to the question. However, the discussion is very limited: the view supporting study of other subjects is dismissed as “uncondition” and “uninterested” rather than explained, while the benefits of concentrating on a qualification are mostly asserted through attendance and results. The example about missing classes does not clearly show why this view is stronger. The response contains 194 words, below the required 250; 74 words copied from the prompt were not counted. Develop both sides with relevant reasons and a specific example, then explain your opinion more fully.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 3.5

There is a basic attempt to organise the response into paragraphs, and signposts such as “Firstly,” “Further,” “For example,” and “To conclude” indicate the intended sequence. However, progression is difficult to follow because ideas are repeated rather than developed: attendance and not skipping classes recur in several paragraphs, and the example does not clearly connect to the claim it is meant to support. Some links are also unclear, as in “this is un condition and not that like for great qualification.” Give each paragraph one clear purpose—one for each view, followed by your opinion—and use linking phrases to show the relationship between a reason and its consequence.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.0

Your vocabulary includes relevant topic words such as “subjects,” “qualification,” “classes,” and “final results,” and you attempt to express an opinion and give an example. However, the range is basic and repetitive, with frequent spelling and word-choice problems that make several ideas hard to understand, including “un condition,” “promotefor,” and “unintrested.” Phrases such as “winner” and “other methods” do not convey a clear meaning in this context. Aim for accurate academic collocations and check spelling carefully. More precise wording would help you explain the advantages of broader learning and focused study without repeating the same terms.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences with clauses, for example, “when students not regular attend classes that this present percentage is low.” This shows an effort to connect ideas, but sentence structures are often incomplete or inaccurately formed, so relationships between ideas can be unclear. Problems include missing or incorrect subjects and verbs (“Students when admissions in universities”), verb forms (“students not regular attend”), and sentence boundaries and punctuation. The response relies heavily on similar “when” constructions, with little accurate variety. Practise building complete subject–verb sentences first, then add subordinate clauses using patterns such as “If students miss classes, their results may suffer.”
