Student answer (Band 4.5)

More student want to learn about other subject in addition to their main suject other argue that it is more important to studying for qualification .

Firstly student should focus on their main subject because when starting to get education for degree he must know what he is going to study about. It clears confusion.those who want to learn other subjects should have choices when starting the course because student have to manage many things. for example if he want degree in mechatronis it is more important to kearn about mechatronics rather than art .

secondly if student have choosen degree of art if we gives him education about engineering it will injustice with him because he need qualification rather knowledge it creates minds with high intelligence .

In coclusion i gives opinion about student should learn for qualification rather adding uselss subjects to their curriculum

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 4.0

You give a clear opinion in the conclusion, favouring study for a qualification, and your examples about mechatronics and art are relevant to the topic. However, the response only minimally addresses the full task: it gives little explanation of why students might benefit from studying subjects beyond their main field, and the argument for focusing on a qualification is also brief and sometimes unclear. The essay is 145 words, below the required 250, so there is not enough development or supporting detail. To strengthen the response, explain both viewpoints, state your position clearly in the introduction, and add specific examples showing how broader study or specialisation could help students.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 4.5

There is a basic attempt to organise the response: you use “Firstly,” “secondly,” and “In conclusion,” and the final sentence signals your opinion. These markers help the reader recognise a beginning, supporting points, and an ending. However, the ideas do not progress clearly between paragraphs, and the second point shifts from students choosing a degree to being taught another subject without explaining the connection. Some sentences run together, as in “It clears confusion.those who want to learn…,” while the conclusion repeats the position rather than drawing the discussion together. Use separate, focused paragraphs for each viewpoint and connect each claim to its explanation or example.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “degree,” “qualification,” “curriculum,” and “subjects,” and the examples of mechatronics and art show an attempt to be specific. However, the range is limited and several word choices or spellings make the meaning less clear, such as “it will injustice with him” and “creates minds with high intelligence.” There are also repeated basic terms such as “student,” “subject,” and “learn.” Build a wider set of accurate academic phrases for discussing benefits and drawbacks, and check spelling carefully. More precise collocations would help you express your ideas naturally without relying on vague or awkward wording.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

You attempt both simple statements and longer sentences, for example, “because when starting to get education for degree he must know what he is going to study about.” This shows an effort to explain reasons, but the range remains limited and errors are frequent enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. Examples include missing articles and plural forms (“More student,” “for degree”), subject–verb agreement (“student have”), and incorrect verb patterns (“more important to studying”). Punctuation also needs attention: several sentences lack spaces after full stops or are joined without clear boundaries. Practise accurate basic sentence patterns first, then add complex clauses with correct agreement and verb forms.
