Student answer (Band 5.5)
In some universities students want to learn other additional subject to enhance their knowlege. However, other students believe it is importnat to give all their attention to studing for a qualification. I believe that only studying one specific subject is not useful as when a student go to the market for job and experience the other subjects of interest he studied help alot in getting go position as that subject inhances his skills or knowledge about other things as well.
In today's ever changing world we cannot rely on one single subject matter to achieve something better. For instance, a student studies psychology in books and specialize in the area but he did not explore the relavent fields and the influence of digital tools within the field. He might be able to achieve exceptional grades with the bookish knowledge but will be failed in the practical field which will give him tough time for a good standing in the market.
In order to flourish we need to be aware and skilled enough for which we have to study various subject with the degree relevant ones. Those who do not bother to participate other things we lack in skills. There are thousands of students who are average students but enhanced their socializatio, other skills and the knowledge of the various subjects are doing their dream jobs.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0
Your position is clear: you favour studying additional subjects, and the example of psychology students needing digital knowledge is relevant. However, the task asks you to discuss both views, and the argument for concentrating entirely on a qualification is barely presented; the opening only reports that some students hold this view. Your supporting ideas are also broad and under-developed, particularly the claim that students with social and other skills get their “dream jobs,” which needs a specific explanation or example. The response is 25 words below the required minimum, leaving less space to develop the opposing view and support your opinion. Explain the benefits of specialisation, then compare them with the advantages of broader study before reaching your conclusion.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5
The response has a recognisable overall arrangement: an introduction states your opinion, followed by paragraphs about changing workplace demands and the value of broader skills. Linking phrases such as “However,” “For instance,” and “In order to flourish” help signal relationships between ideas. However, the progression is not fully clear because the opposing view is introduced but not developed, and the final paragraph shifts to a general claim about students without clearly connecting it to the psychology example. Some references are difficult to follow, especially “Those who do not bother to participate other things we lack in skills.” Use clearer topic sentences and explicit links between each example and your main argument; a separate conclusion would also make the overall progression more complete.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt vocabulary suited to the topic, including “qualification,” “digital tools,” “practical field,” and “socialization,” and the reader can generally understand your main point. There is some variety beyond basic everyday language. However, spelling and word-choice errors are noticeable, as in “knowlege,” “importnat,” “relavent,” and “inhances.” Several phrases are also unnatural or imprecise: “getting go position,” “bookish knowledge,” and “participate other things” do not express your intended meaning clearly. Aim for accurate academic collocations and check spelling carefully. For example, you could describe “relevant fields,” “practical experience,” and “a competitive position in the job market” rather than relying on unclear phrasing.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You make some attempts to combine ideas in longer sentences, for example with “as” and “which,” and you use both present and past forms. However, the range of structures is limited, and complex sentences are often faulty, sometimes making relationships between ideas hard to understand. Examples include “when a student go to the market” and “he studied help,” where subject–verb agreement and sentence structure are problematic. In “He might be able to achieve exceptional grades … but will be failed,” the verb construction is incorrect. The final paragraph also contains an incomplete or confused construction: “Those who do not bother to participate other things we lack in skills.” Practise building shorter, complete sentences first, then add subordinate clauses while checking agreement and verb forms.
