Student answer (Band 5.5)

It is an undeniable fact that some universty student argued that they want to learn some other subjects in sum up of main subject. Some others considered that it is important to have full your attention and give all of your time on your qualificaation. They both have different thought than we will discuss about this.

On the one hand, some fellows who said that studying about other subject will be benefit for your future study. The main subject is also essential for your good grades but in future if you want to go to other field than you would have some choices and you would select any of them. You may have to learn about other subject like if you select Law as your main subject and than you started studying business management or computer sciences you would have options in future to go in any field. These are the points of some person who agree with this.

On other hand, some others believed that it is more essential to give full of your time on your qualification and also pay full your attention because success want hardwork. If our studying with full passion than you will get good grades in your subjects.

In coclusion, on one hand person said it's good to choose other subject with your main subject and on other hand person denied it and said it would be difficult for your good grades. So, in my opinion, it's important to pay full of your time and focus on your study but if you have some free of time you would learnt about any other subject. For instance, if you studying about Law with full focus and attention and you think that you will done it than you would start studyib about business administration, finance or any other field.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5

You discuss both views and give a personal position: you explain that studying additional subjects may create future career options, then argue that students should prioritise their qualification and study other subjects when they have free time. This addresses the main parts of the task. However, the discussion is only partly developed. The Law example names business management and computer science as alternatives, but does not explain how learning them alongside a degree would benefit a student. The opposing view is also supported mainly by the general claim that success requires hard work and good grades. Develop each side with a clearer reason and a specific, relevant example, and state your position more directly before the conclusion to make the response more complete and consistent.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0

The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. Signposts such as “On the one hand,” “On other hand,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes mechanical, and several ideas are repeated rather than developed—for example, the conclusion restates both sides without adding a clear synthesis. Some references are also unclear, as in “These are the points of some person who agree with this.” Use linking phrases to show the relationship between ideas, not just to announce a new section, and make pronouns and references explicit. A more focused topic sentence and a developed example in each body paragraph would strengthen the flow.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

You use some vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “qualification,” “future,” “options,” “grades,” and “attention,” so the main ideas are generally understandable. However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations are noticeably inaccurate, such as “studying about other subject,” “full of your time,” and “success want hardwork.” Spelling errors, including “universty,” “qualificaation,” and “coclusion,” also reduce accuracy. These issues sometimes make the reader pause to interpret your meaning. Build a bank of natural academic phrases for discussing education and career benefits, and check spelling and word forms carefully. Aim for precise expressions such as “broaden their knowledge” and “devote time to their degree.”

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You attempt both simple and more complex sentences, including conditional structures such as “if you want to go to other field than you would have some choices.” This shows an effort to express relationships between ideas, but complex sentences are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make some passages difficult to read. For example, “If our studying with full passion than you will get good grades” lacks a correctly formed conditional clause, while “you would learnt” and “you will done it” use incorrect verb forms. There are also problems with articles, plurals, and agreement, as in “other subject” and “some person.” Practise accurate conditional patterns and subject–verb agreement, and proofread each sentence for complete clauses and correct verb forms.
