Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 3.0

The response shows an initial attempt to address the topic: it mentions students studying additional subjects and signals that there are differing views. However, it does not explain either view in enough detail, and the second view—that students should focus on their qualification—is not clearly developed. Your opinion is only partly stated in “I am go with this statement students do study which one they want,” so the reader cannot tell precisely which position you support or why. There are no relevant examples or supporting reasons. The response also does not meet the 250-word minimum, which leaves the task substantially incomplete. To improve, explain both perspectives, state your view clearly, and support each main point with a specific example.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 3.5

There is a basic attempt to organise the response: the opening introduces the topic, and “I will discuss both views” signals an intended direction. However, the ideas do not progress into a complete discussion, and the response ends before either view is explained. Connections between points are unclear; for example, “most of the people believe that is a good source” is followed by “but other human things this is a waste of time,” without a clear explanation of what “this” refers to. The paragraphing and linking are also limited. Build a clear sequence with an introduction, one paragraph for each view, and a conclusion, using linking phrases to show contrast and to connect reasons with examples.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You use some topic-related vocabulary, including “subjects,” “main subject,” “higher study,” and “qualification,” so the general topic is recognisable. However, the range is narrow, and several spelling and word-choice problems make parts difficult to understand, such as “knowlege,” “thier,” “intresrt,” and “other human things.” Some phrases are also imprecise: “grab more and more” is informal, while “a good source for more information” does not clearly identify what provides the information. Aim for accurate academic expressions such as “gain knowledge,” “additional subjects,” and “focus on their degree.” Check spelling carefully and choose words that express the intended meaning precisely.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 4.5

The response attempts a few longer sentence patterns, including a contrast introduced by “but” and a statement of intention with “I will discuss.” However, most sentences contain errors in basic structures, and the range of sentence forms is limited. For instance, “In this time any student want” has problems with the opening phrase and subject–verb agreement, while “I am go with this statement” uses an incorrect verb form. The sentence beginning “most of the people believe” also lacks clear grammatical control across its clauses. Practise forming complete sentences with a clear subject and verb, and check agreement, articles, and verb forms. Short, accurate sentences will help make your ideas easier to follow before you attempt more complex structures.
