Student answer (Band 5.5)
some college students want to learn about different subject rather than the main subjects.other individuals are thinking about most of the time and priority give to studying for a graduation. So, i totaly agrree with both views.
On one hand, many university graduaters want to memorise another subject which are not useful in studying at graduation time. for example, if college students are reciving another subject knowledge so its helpfull for learners future. Furthermore, they know about another suject skill and also develop communication skills. Therefore, if students need to study another subject so this is best for learners future.
On second hand, if students learn new subject but not learn college subject so its not good for there future. Thus, people are saying that learn college subject first because college exam in quation about the college syllabus if students not learn college subject so they cannot achieved good marks. Therefore people says student need to learn college subject. For example, if students are learning a new subject the dont learn main subjec so in the exam time they did not give right answer in right question. They are also feeling like stressfull and tension.
In conclusion, I fully agree with graduation learners need to know about college syllabus so they are achieving good score in exam, yet students are learning a new subject is good skill and this thing is very good and this was appreciating things. So always give first priority in first complete the college subject and then learn new subjects.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.5
You address both views: the first body paragraph supports learning additional subjects, while the second explains why students should prioritise their degree syllabus. Your conclusion also gives a preference for completing core studies first, although “I totally agree with both views” in the introduction makes your position less clear, and the final opinion is not fully consistent with that opening. The ideas are relevant, but several are asserted rather than explained. For instance, you say extra subjects help students’ futures and communication skills, but do not show how or give a specific example. The exam-focused argument is clearer, yet could be developed further. State your position consistently and support each main point with a concrete example or explanation.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, separate paragraphs for the two views, and a conclusion. Signposts such as “On one hand,” “On second hand,” and “In conclusion” help readers follow the discussion. However, progression within paragraphs is sometimes mechanical, with repeated “Therefore” and “so” linking claims without showing their precise relationship. Some references are also unclear, as in “this thing is very good,” which does not identify exactly what is being praised. The second body paragraph combines the value of core study, exam performance, and stress without a clear sequence. To strengthen cohesion, organise each paragraph around one main claim, explain it, and then add a relevant example; use pronouns and linking phrases with clear references.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use enough topic-related vocabulary to communicate the general discussion, including “communication skills,” “college syllabus,” “exam,” and “priority.” However, the range is limited and several words or phrases are repeated, particularly “subject,” “learn,” and “good.” There are also noticeable spelling and word-choice problems, such as “graduaters,” “reciving,” “quation,” and “appreciating things,” which can make the intended meaning difficult to interpret. Some combinations are unnatural, for example “memorise another subject” and “give all their time and attention” being reduced to “priority give.” Build a more precise set of expressions for discussing study choices, benefits, and academic outcomes, and check spelling and collocations during revision.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt some longer sentences and use basic conditional structures, such as “if students learn new subject but not learn college subject,” as well as clauses introduced by “because.” However, the range of sentence patterns is limited, and complex attempts are often faulty. Errors in agreement, articles, verb forms, and sentence construction appear throughout: “another subject which are,” “students are reciving,” and “they cannot achieved” are examples. Several sentences also run together without appropriate punctuation, particularly the exam example beginning “For example, if students are learning…” Practise building accurate simple sentences first, then combine them with one clear subordinate clause. Check subject–verb agreement, verb forms after modal verbs, and sentence boundaries.
