Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.0
You address both questions: you explain the appeal of independence, risk-taking and creative freedom, then identify possible drawbacks such as financial loss, stress and missed employment opportunities. The clothing-brand example supports the freedom point, while the Google employee becoming an influencer illustrates the risk of leaving a secure job. However, several disadvantages are listed rather than explained, and the link between business failure and mental health is asserted without showing how or when this might occur. The response also needs a clearer, more direct position on why self-employment is attractive overall. Develop fewer points in greater depth, using specific reasoning or examples to show their consequences and make sure each example clearly supports the point it follows.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.0
The response has a recognisable overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph on reasons, and a paragraph on disadvantages. Sequencing phrases such as “To begin with” and “Further” help signal the shift between these sections, and the examples are placed near relevant ideas. However, the introduction promises to discuss both sides, while the body’s progression is weakened by abrupt transitions and a long list of drawbacks. Some connections between ideas are unclear, particularly the move from business failure to depression and suicide, and then to missed opportunities. Use clearer topic sentences and connect each supporting detail explicitly to the main point. More precise referencing and less reliance on formulaic transitions would make the progression easier to follow.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.5
You attempt a range of vocabulary relevant to work and business, including “authority,” “taking risks,” “freedom of work,” “guidance,” and “opportunities.” These choices communicate the main ideas, and phrases such as “building their own business” show an effort to discuss the topic specifically. However, several expressions are inaccurate or unnatural, including “least intrest,” “a huge loss,” “demands of days to day life,” and “biggest factor of depression.” Spelling errors such as “experiance” and “suiside” also reduce control. Aim for more precise collocations and check spelling carefully; for example, describe financial insecurity or business losses rather than relying on broad or awkward phrases.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and more extended sentence forms, including explanations with “because”-type relationships and examples introduced by “For example.” However, grammatical control is inconsistent. Errors in agreement and sentence construction appear in “Humans needs to work” and “population are more fond,” while “like a coins its also have two side” contains several problems with articles, number and verb form. Some sentences run together or lack clear punctuation, especially in the opening and the first body paragraph; “To begin with nowadays generation do not like to work under oneThey are also…” is difficult to parse. Use shorter, complete sentences while checking subject–verb agreement, articles and punctuation, then build complexity gradually.
