Student answer (Band 6.0)
Nowadays, self-employment gives leberty to work according to individual's idea's and less pressure of work in compare to working for a company. Therefor many people choose to be self-employed ratherthen working in compay or any organisation. Further in this essay I'm gonna explain it advantages and disadvantges and in the end I'm gonna give my own point of view.
There are several reason for choosing to be self employment among them the first reason is leberty of work. They can get more leaberty and can make their own dicision according to the situation and there will be less presure of work in compare to working in company. Secondly they can get good amout of money in comapre to getting salary from the organisation. People can be able to study more about the market and plan their stratergy accodingly.
However, each coin has two sides like that being self-employed has some disadvante such as there will be some chanses of getting loss in the business and to recover from it people some sell their individual property also. The income is incertain whereas if they are doing job then in certain perioud they will get fix amout of money monthly that income will become uncertain. Some time pandamic, economic and environmental crisis can effect the the business for example - in covid all word was in lockdown phase the business and all kind of thrade was temporary stoped and many businessman and self emply and face big amout of loss and they have to sut their business.
To conculde I believe that being self-employ is good thing but the owner have specifications knowledge about the business they are planning to do and they have to be mentaly and finacaly stable so that they can survive in any kind of situation.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 6.5
You address both questions: you explain that self-employment offers freedom to make decisions and potentially higher earnings, then discuss business losses and uncertain income. The COVID-19 example also gives relevant support for the risks. Your concluding view—that self-employment can work well when the owner has suitable knowledge and financial and mental stability—provides a clear position. These points meet the task well, but some are asserted rather than fully explained. For instance, the claim of “less pressure” is not supported with a specific reason, and the higher-income point could be qualified by explaining that earnings depend on the business’s success. Developing these ideas with clearer cause-and-effect reasoning would make the response more complete and persuasive.
Coherence and Cohesion: Band 6.5
The response has a clear overall structure: an introduction, a paragraph on reasons, a paragraph on disadvantages, and a conclusion. Sequencing phrases such as “Firstly,” “Secondly,” and “However” help readers follow the main stages, and the pandemic example is placed with the discussion of business risks. Some connections are nevertheless mechanical or unclear. The introduction promises “my own point of view” at the end, although a position could be stated more directly from the outset. In the disadvantages paragraph, the shift from business losses to uncertain income is abrupt, and the sentence about fixed monthly pay repeats the idea of uncertainty. Use clearer links between each point and avoid repeating the same information to make progression smoother.
Lexical Resource: Band 5.0
You use a relevant range of topic vocabulary, including “self-employment,” “market,” “strategy,” “income,” “economic crisis,” and “business.” This is enough to communicate the main ideas, but spelling errors and imprecise or unnatural word choices are noticeable and sometimes make the reader pause. Examples include “leberty” for “liberty,” “incertain” for “uncertain,” and “fix amount” for “fixed amount.” Some phrases are also awkward, such as “each coin has two sides” and “chanses of getting loss.” Aim to learn accurate spelling alongside natural collocations, and choose precise terms such as “risk of making a loss.” This would make your vocabulary more reliable and easier to understand.
Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0
You attempt both simple and longer sentence forms, including explanations with “because”-type relationships and a concluding conditional idea. However, the range is limited, and errors occur often enough to make some sentences difficult to follow. For example, “There are several reason for choosing to be self employment” has problems with number and sentence structure, while “many businessman and self emply and face big amout of loss” lacks a clear grammatical construction. There are also issues with articles, verb forms, and agreement, as in “the owner have.” Practise building accurate sentences around one main clause, then add subordinate clauses only when you can control their grammar. Careful proofreading for agreement and sentence boundaries will also help.
