Student answer (Band 5.0)

People now a days are becoming more independent then in the past because today's generation does not want to follow any orders from any one. They are choosing to be self-employed, because they thought they can start a company and started to make profit to enhance their life style.

The reason of younger generation choosing not work with an organization is that there mindset is not to gain experince they want to be rich in one night which is not possible and that's why the umemployment ratio is increasing day by day.

It is important to gain experience in a specific field to start your own company in that field, and if you will not do so your company will be shut down in a few days.

It is not compulsory to be employed for a same company till your death but for the sake of gaining experience wd have to work under an otganzation or comapny so that we can understand how to react in different situations. It is a bitter reality that if you are not flexible then you should not get success. For instance, an article states that about 2.5 million people were unemployed in 2025 because they wanted to start theor own buisness. The billionaires also suggests the younger generation to first work with a firm then start your own buisness after gaining experience.

In connclusion, it is the duty of teachers and parents to tell their students and children respectively, that it is compulsory to gain experience because if you do not do so you can not know how to deal things in different situations.

Task Achievement / Task Response — Band 5.0

The response addresses both parts of the prompt, exploring why people choose self-employment and the potential disadvantages. However, the development of ideas is somewhat limited and repetitive. For instance, the writer states that younger generations want to get rich 'in one night', which is a sweeping and under-developed generalisation. While a position is presented, the arguments regarding unemployment and the necessity of experience are occasionally muddled and lack robust elaboration. Relevant examples are attempted, such as mentioning an article and billionaires' advice, but these remain vague rather than fully realised. Consequently, the response aligns best with Band 5.0, where ideas are somewhat limited and under-developed.

Coherence and Cohesion — Band 5.0

The text is divided into four paragraphs, showing an attempt at structural organisation. However, progression is frequently disrupted by abrupt transitions and a lack of clear overall cohesion. For instance, moving from the discussion of unemployment in paragraph two directly to the necessity of gaining experience lacks a smooth logical bridge. Cohesive devices are used sparingly and sometimes inaccurately, such as 'In connclusion' at the very end. Paragraphing is attempted, but the internal logical flow within paragraphs is weak. Referencing is occasionally unclear, making it difficult for the reader to follow the exact progression of thought. This overall level of organisation and mechanical cohesion corresponds to a Band 5.0 rating.

Lexical Resource — Band 5.0

The vocabulary used is relatively basic and repetitive, with frequent spelling and word-choice errors that occasionally impede communication. Examples of errors include 'now a days', 'life style', 'umemployment', 'mindset', 'theor', 'buisness', and 'connclusion'. While the writer attempts some less common vocabulary such as 'flexible', 'unemployment ratio', and 'billionaires', the high frequency of inaccurate spelling and awkward collocations limits the lexical range to a minimally adequate level. There is little flexibility shown, and the persistent errors place a strain on the reader at times. These features are characteristic of Band 5.0.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy — Band 5.0

The response demonstrates a limited range of grammatical structures. While there are some attempts at complex sentences, such as conditional clauses ('if you will not do so your company will be shut down'), they are frequently flawed in tense agreement and punctuation. There are numerous basic errors throughout the text, including subject-verb agreement issues ('mindset is not to gain experince they want') and missing punctuation. Punctuation errors and run-on structures are common, such as '...deal things in different situations. For instance...'. The high frequency of grammatical errors causes noticeable difficulty for the reader, placing the response firmly at Band 5.0.
