Student answer (Band 5.0)

In recent years ,an increasing number of indivisduals have opted to become self-employed instead of pursuing traditional employement within stablished companies .

The primary reasons for this shift towards self-employement nclude a desire for greater autonomy and the flexibility to manage their own schedule .

But on the other-hand the people face challenging or a company debt and also give taxes .

However when someone open a company or start of any buisness they should manage everything but him/her-self so it is diificult to manage everything alone in start phase of buisness

Transitioning to self-employement often presents considerable intial challenges yet with persistence and adaptability ,these early diificulties typically give way to significant professional growth and buisness success over time .

On my knowledge there are many people who start their buiness because they are tired from the job they approach to buisness man who is successsful person in buisness he guide that of people and the people invest time , money on their buisness ,afterwards they got tired and they loss their in after a while they quitout .

So there are determind individuals people who listen every person and never believe on any one they focus on goals and start working on it and they never give up ,so given time to our own thoughts and implement our ideas in real life and accept never give up then we will the successful person .

In concluison ,people choose self-employement for freedom and flexibility .Despite the risk , the oppurtunity for growth and personal vontrol make it a rewarding choice for individuals

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

The response addresses all parts of the prompt by discussing both the reasons for choosing self-employment (autonomy, flexibility) and the potential disadvantages (debt, taxes, difficulty managing everything alone in the initial phase). However, the development of ideas is limited and at times somewhat repetitive or unclear, particularly in the personal experience paragraph where the narrative about the businessman and quitting becomes difficult to follow. There is a clear position stated in the introduction and conclusion, but the overall extension and support of ideas place this response comfortably at Band 5.0.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.0

The text is organised into paragraphs, and some basic cohesive devices are used, such as 'However', 'In recent years', and 'In conclusion'. However, overall progression is hindered by awkward transitions and confusing sentence sequencing, particularly in the body paragraphs regarding business failures. Referencing is occasionally unclear, as seen with pronouns like 'them' and 'they' referring back loosely to groups of people. Paragraphing is attempted, but internal paragraph cohesion frequently breaks down, making it challenging to follow the logical flow. This aligns closely with Band 5.0 descriptors.

Lexical Resource: Band 5.0

The student attempts a range of vocabulary suitable for the topic, including words like 'autonomy', 'flexibility', and 'transitioning'. However, there are frequent spelling errors throughout the text, such as 'indivisduals', 'employement', 'stablished', 'nclude', 'buisness', 'intial', 'diificulties', 'determind', 'concluison', and 'oppurtunity'. Word choice and collocations are also occasionally faulty, for example, 'give taxes' instead of 'pay taxes' and 'loss their in'. These frequent lexical inaccuracies and spelling mistakes cause some strain for the reader and restrict the score to Band 5.0.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

The writer attempts a mix of simple and complex sentence structures, but control over grammar and punctuation is weak. There are numerous punctuation errors, including spaces before commas (e.g., 'years ,an') and run-on sentences with comma splices, such as 'so given time to our own thoughts and implement our ideas in real life and accept never give up then we will the successful person'. Errors in verb forms, prepositions, and sentence construction are frequent and occasionally cause difficulty for the reader. This performance reflects the Band 5.0 descriptors.
