Student answer (Band 5.0)

People hold different views regarding employment. In today's rapidly growing world, some people have to choose to be self-employed as compare to do work under a company or organisation.

On the one hand, there are several authentic reasons that individuals have selected by own work. Firstly, they do not have to do their work under any pressure and abviously do not set their time limit. Secondly, individuals have numerous benefits like to get money by own work. For example, work on fiver, instagram and like the same other social media apps gave jobs of unemployed person and should get money from this website.

On the other hand, work done by their own prospectices also have some drawbacks. Work is going by alone rather than as a team. Moreover, biggest challenge in the self-employed is that all the work handled by a single person. Furthor more, in this way person shold be faced stress level, anxiety, and also some other level of stress beacuse they spend most of time alone in the single room. They do not collapse with other persons and do not share their idea with other team member.

Nowadays, stress is on the peak level due to work alone or self-employed because they direct and immediate impact on our health system and our body. For instance, in the hospitals majority of patient is involved in the anxiety due to working and spend most of time in the room. This type of persons do not share their conditions with other persons.

In conclusion, although, self-employed is more benefical impact in the citizen life but it also have some drawbacks. In this situation challenges is outweight as compare to beneficials.

Task Achievement / Task Response: Band 5.0

You address both questions: you suggest that self-employment offers freedom from pressure and fixed schedules, and identify isolation, stress, and having to manage all the work alone as disadvantages. However, the reasons for choosing this work are only briefly explained, and the example about Fiverr and Instagram is unclear: it does not show precisely how these platforms lead people to become self-employed. The discussion of stress is repeated, while the conclusion says the challenges outweigh the benefits without clearly establishing that comparison. Develop each main point with a specific explanation or example, and make your overall position clearer and consistent with the task’s two questions.

Coherence and Cohesion: Band 5.5

The response has a recognisable structure, with an introduction, separate paragraphs for advantages and disadvantages, and a conclusion. Signposting such as “On the one hand,” “On the other hand,” and “In conclusion” helps readers follow the broad direction. However, progression within paragraphs is less clear: the discussion moves from working alone to stress, then repeats the stress point in a separate paragraph. Some links are also difficult to follow, particularly the hospital example and the reference to people not sharing their conditions. Group related ideas together, avoid repeating the same disadvantage, and use clearer links to show how each example supports its point.

Lexical Resource: Band 4.5

You attempt vocabulary relevant to the topic, including “self-employed,” “pressure,” “drawbacks,” “anxiety,” and “beneficial.” However, the range is limited and several word choices or collocations make meaning unclear, such as “authentic reasons,” “selected by own work,” “work done by their own prospectices,” and “challenges is outweight.” Spelling errors such as “abviously,” “Furthor,” and “beacuse” also reduce accuracy. Aim for natural, precise phrases rather than translating expressions directly; for example, describe “the freedom to set one’s own schedule” or “the burden of managing every aspect of a business.” Check spelling and word forms during revision.

Grammatical Range and Accuracy: Band 5.0

You use some simple sentences and attempt longer structures, including “although … but” in the conclusion and a sentence beginning “because.” However, complex attempts are often faulty, and errors occur frequently enough to make parts difficult to understand. Examples include “some people have to choose to be self-employed as compare to do work,” “all the work handled by a single person,” and “they direct and immediate impact on our health system.” These show problems with verb forms, sentence construction, and agreement. Practise building accurate subject–verb–object sentences first, then add subordinate clauses. Also check articles, plurals, and punctuation, and avoid joining “although” and “but” in the same clause.
